Wonderful Ass & Mediate Which came first??? I'm pretty sure it was Wonderful Ass. Anyone know the story here? I mean, Mediate by INXS sounds a lot like the chorus in Wonderful Ass. INXS must have been Prince fans. Just a coincidence maybe?

Wonderful Ass was recorded early 1983. Mediate was released in 1987 (but possibly recorded in 1986).
Wonderful Ass didn't surface on bootleg until about 1987 (when it was considered a Crystal Ball outtake), so it's highly unlikely any members of INXS would have heard it. I'm pretty sure it's just coincidence.

they're both inspired by a Bob Dylan's song, I forgot the title (according "Turn It Up")

The late Michael Hutchence was a BIG Prince fan. He attended many concerts and afterparties in the 80's. He also listed "Sign O' The Times" as being one of his favorite albums in a Rolling Stone interview.

I remember that Michael Hutchence mentionned "The Black Album" as his favourite album of the 80s.

Thank U everyone! I remember Bob Dylan had a video where he did the thing with the words on the poster boards, but the rhythm of it is different. The Wonderful Ass and Mediate parts are almost identical, just different words. If Michael was a Prince fan, I think he could have heard the demo.
