Best Sheila E. song??? Sheila had her share of great songs during her "Prince" years....
Besides "The Glamorous Life" and "Love Bizarre"...I think some of her best include... "Koo Koo" "Shortberry Strawcake" "Mercy For the Speed of a Mad Clown in Summer" "Toy Box" "Yellow" (what is it with songs with this title! They're great....Coldplay's is classic too) Every minute of last night is on my face today....

Let's face it Sheila won't be releasing a greatest hits anytime soon, but Love Bizarre and Glamorous life never get old. Love that KOOKOO video too! ______________________________________________

"Babies gettin' high, people drinkin' cyanide"...how'd that lyric go? THE WORLD. IS. HIGH.
Okay, it's been a while since I've listened to that song, but I have a fond place in my heart for it all the same. Gotta love "Hollyrock", "Love Bizarre" and "Sister Fate". It was all about Romance 1600, ya know...

OK. Slightly off-topic, but I've always wondered if any1 else felt that the song D&P "stole" a melodic sequence from the song "Romance 1600". (Funny that they're both title tracks).
As 2 the question: obviously "A Love Bizarre" but I like "Sister Fate" and "bedtime story" 2. Her best: "Dance On", from Lovesexy. I mean she makes that song (1 of my fave P trax 2). Not bad, for a girl... "We've never been able to pull off a funk number"
"That's becuase we're soulless auttomatons"

Actually my favorite Sheila E. song is "Sex Cymbal." But thats not Prince era I guess. So, "Glamorous Life" is my choice. "Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean someone ain't following me."

Don't foget Shiela covered "Lady Marmelade" on Sex Cymbal but Warner Bros was too stupid to know they had a hit on their hands! ______________________________________________

***"Faded Photographs"(1987)---This song could have been a SMASH! Warners should have released this as a single, and made a really good, flashy video to be shown on MTV.This rocks harder than almost anything else she's ever done, and the lyrics are brilliant...
"All that's left are memories Of how it used to be We can't erase the past We can't change our destiny Faded Photographs Your eyes say a thousand words to me Faded Photographs Shadows fill my lonely room..." Another missed opportunity,on the part of Paisley Park/Warner Bros.

"Oliver's House", nice bouncy pop song with a catchy sing along chorus. "Noon Rendevous", deep nice sensual song, excellent 4 a slow jam mix-tape or dedication 2 a new love
"Koo Koo", another great quirky song "Love on a blue train", nice... "Glamorous Life", "A Love Bizarre", "Holly Rock", excellent tracks with great commercial appeal(as if U didn't already know) "Next time wipe the lipstick off your collar", nice funny little song that suffers from being so short.
