Remember a commercial for a department store years ago, where there was a lady who was looking at a revolving rack of dresses, and when she actually could look at the prices, they were so high she started laughing hysterically?

This is how I think I might feel if I called Paisley Park to see how much it would cost to record or film there. Don't get me wrong, it would be a dream come true to have this happen, and yet, somehow I just don't think it's affordable to the average Joe like me.

Prince has been doing the EYES feature thing since the 1999 album. I think it's a coincidence! But a cool 1.

This is exciting news, since I had been hearing rumors that Paisley Park was up for sale. omfg fit So glad that it was just a bullshit rumor, and that Paisley is once again open for biz. Hey, do ya think Prince will go back to having his Friday night parties? That would be awesome! woot!

Oh believe you me - I'm still hoping, even if I'm skeptical. When I saw this article my first thought was "Friday night parties!!". I just don't know if they fit in anymore with all the changes in Prince's life. sigh

I'm hoping at least now, with Paisley open for business again and more going on out there, that there will maybe be more of a good chance for at least on odd party here or there. When was the last one, even? (not counting the pseudo mini-celebration this past June? I can't remember)

You're right about needing more fun on Friday night!! biggrin

pray right along with you

the last ones were last july, when he did those two nights in a row...

this is, to me, just one more sign that prince has come back into power.

he knows what he wants out of life now, and goes for it.

RE the JW overseer... don't know if everyone realizes that he's not a paid minister, but someone who volunteers his time to look after the congregation. in other words, he no doubt has another paid profession in order to support himself... and for all we know, he could have professional managerial experience of some sort.

That is the dumbest comment I have ever heard, he will be getting royalties year in year out for every single song that is played on TV, radio etc. Plus the tour which earns him megabucks.

As usual..a negative post by Gold319

i doubt it. if he's invested a lot of money into new equipment and new staff then i would guess he has some money already to throw around.

To me this news tells me that he is likely probably not going to be at Paisley Park much anymore so he figured he might as well open it up and see if the building can make any money. One of the reasons the studio didn't work before is Prince would decided he wanted to record something and kick paying customers out.

They also showed a clip of this the inside of Paisley Park on the news the other night and Prince had done some work to the soundstage including green and black screens on all the walls.

GWAR??? You're kidding, right? Aren't they that gross band that vomits on their audiences? Well, I guess if they don't swear, they're welcome at Paisley. I don't think JW's have any rules about vomiting on people. lol But I'd hate to be the one who has to clean the studio when GWAR finished with it. lol

As for the eyes, just remember who had plastic surgery to look like whom. Prince was born with those beautiful eyes. MJ's were aquired through years of plastic surgery.
