I also like the idea of Jill Scott's voice with Prince. Sounds very rich. [This message was edited Wed Mar 27 18:25:52 PST 2002 by purpleleaf7]

P.J.Harvey. Aside from Me'Shell, she's put out some of the
most provocative and creative music in the 90's."I can't believe life is so complex when I just just wanna sit here and watch you undress!" Tom Waits. Sounds odd,I know but the unusual chemistry between the two would allow for some damn interesting music. Joni Mitchell. Prince once submitted a song to Joni entitled U R My Emotional Pump,U Make Me Jump...hee hee!! Joni sent the song back as she considered it inappropriate. She would pull no punches in the studio and use her stubborn approach with him to force really organic music out of him. "All these vain promises on beauty jars..."

radiohead- so prince will realize that not all rock is dead and that there are new and awesome ways to do it. alana davis- to show him that black girls like rock too. anyone heard her? she is awesome. beautiful and rocks!!!! cashmere/greenvelvet- to show him that you can do funk in new and creative ways and still be, well, *funky* the roots- prince needs to respect the roots like miles respected him. it burns me up that these two entities tend to rip on eachother. beautiful music could happen. they all could learn so much from eachother...prince needs to listen to the freshblood. and finally Ms Badu- They should duet on a dominatrix song. She the master and he the servant. Cause she is such a strong black woman she can do him like that. I would die a happy man if Prince and Erykah the Queen (IMO- Too see her live was incredible to me. I wanted to bow after the shows) were to do a song together. He should definately collaborate with Me'Shell, I bet they could write some outrageous music together, Prince would play guitar, Me'Shell would handle the bass, both of them doing the vocals.
Put Herbie Hancock on the keys, John Blackwell on the drums, Sheila E. on percussion, and good old Eric Leeds and Atlanta Bliss on the horns and you'd have a killer combination! Sigh, I can only dream about the music they would come up with... RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

I would also love to see Prince collaborate with some funky techno or breakbeat producer. They would make heavy electronic funk, Minneapolis style, but translated to the year 2002. That would be incredible too! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

OutKast -- I WOULD DIE WITH A SMILE ON MY FACE if Prince and OutKast put their heads together and came up with something funky and different (like a cross between "{Housequake and B.O.B.)
D'Angelo - This is obvious... Alicia Keys -- These two could do a beautiful piano duet together
