Prince Lyrics site?? As some of you know, I set up a Prince club on yahoo about a year ago for the discussion of Prince's lyrics. Since the conversion to yahoo groups, Yahoo has completely fucked up everything & Im going to shut the club down.
As a replcement though, Im thinking of creating a Prince lyrics website. It will do the same as my yahoo club but will be a forum. I'd love to know what you guys think before I try to create such a site. Let me know whether you think a site like this is needed in the fam community & what sort of features would you like to see? Sorry, I should have been a little more specific. My bad. I mean a lyrics site for the discussion of lyrics instead of an online database of songs. Suggest a song for discussion & everyone adds their translation of what they think it means sort of thing. Actually the best way to ask this question is for you to see the old club so u can get the vibe of what I was trying to achieve for the Prince fam community: Link to old club thanx

And I think that's a very good idea. Some songs are indeed very hard to 'understand'. Especially for people who's motherlanguage isn't English. I'm dutch and I do speak English, but in a way that was tought at school and what I picked up from TV, but I do not know the meaning of a lot of sayings and expressions that Prince uses. Prince also uses a lot of slang and other strange ways of using language. With a discussion forum, lyrics may become clearer and more transparant for people like me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I was thinking from the spiritual viewpoint that we could all discuss Prince's lyrics & figure out their deeper meaning but ur idea is great. Not only could we have lyrical chats, but my site could help people who havnt experienced the meaning in Prince's songs as you discribe. Great idea thanx
