I have followed princes career for some 20+ years , and i can tell you , that i really dont give a shit what people say about his guitar playing, because after watching this years rrhf , i can truly and honetly say , that prince may very well be the world's greatest guitar player. nuf said | |

The SOTT Movie was filmed at Paisley Park with Prince and his band lipsynching over the audio of the Rotterdam and Antwerpen gigs... The filmed footage of those concerts couldn't be used so Prince went back to Paisley and filmed the new footage there... We should check Berkley and Juilliard to see if Clapton, Robert Johnson, Eddie Van Halen or Hendrix went there, much less if any of them released one of those classy how-to videos that so many of the other guitar greats have released
Guess it must have been one of the countless other musician's named Prince sitting up on stage strumming during the acoustic session on the Musicology tour.

I never said Prince fakes his guitar playing. I've always said he is a good guitarist. I just said he's not a guitar virtuoso, which he isn't. That's my story - I'm sticking to it. As to Howcomeyoudontcallme's claim. Sure its possible. There's no way in hell you can get through 25 years as a pop musician during the video era and not have to lip-synch on occasion; even mime guitar. No big deal. We all know he plays for real. It depends on the type of show he's doing at the time and what the focus is. Now Andre 3000....I don't know. I see him posing, but..... I don't know.....  | |
