I just read an interview with P and he said they're about to have a platinum party because he has sold 1,000,000 albums at the concerts. He said Sony is upset because they haven't gone platinum yet with a laugh. Does anyone know the total numbers for Sony vs. Concert sells? Do you think P will stay with Sony or will Sony even want P back if they don't go Platinum? I like the Sony thing so far.

I was keeping up with this when Musicology was finishing in the Top 50 of hitsdailydouble.com but it has fallen out of the Top 50 pure sellers for the last 3-4 weeks. It was around 600,000-625,000 then and has sold about 15-20K every week for the last month so it's now close to 700,000 retail. The total sales figure is around 1.4 or 1.5 million so I would say about 700-800K concert. I could be a little off base but I think this is a pretty close estimate.

700.000 in retail is that 'shipped' or sold? 'Cuz 700.000 'sold' is definitely enough 2 b certified
platinum ...assuming more copies r being 'shipped'.

With as much Bad mouthing he's done toward Sony..I'd doubt if they would work with him again...regardless of the sales. He needs to shut up about record companies especially if they are helping him out.
