I recall another part that cracks me up - when Dez Dickerson's band -'The Modernaires' perform watch the guy in the red suit - what kinda moves was he trying to do. It's not even in the same groove of the song.

i am sooo surprised that no one has mentioned (unless i overlooked it) the part nearing the end of "i would die 4 u" where he's prancing around the stage, lickin himself and rubbin himself too (...damn... ) and then he stops, along with the camera, and does THE ASS GIGGLE....i D-i-E laughing everytime i see that clip...man can move....and in ways that....nevermind hahaha

The Ending scene as seen through My eyes:

The Kid, after crying like a little bitch in his father's cellar and unearthing hidden secrets stored away in dusty boxes—page of page of harmonious music—walks out onto the stage and peers out into the audience.

Eyes glancing at him now, some nervous, some with sympathy, and yet others just stoned off their asses, stare at Prince in the most riveting scene of his career. Tic toc…tic toc…tic toc… Kids looking halfway between flock of seagull fans, David Bowie siggy stardust wannabees, and El DeBarge stare at him in what seemed like an eternity. Never one to resist a staring contest, Prince stares back. And stares, and stares, and blinks, and puckers, and stares and stares.

When Prince finally breaks the silence and introduces the song, everyone—I mean everyone—that I’ve watched the movie with has already passed out from exhaustion inflicted from all the spasm and cringes that scene induces. Tragic, and classic at the same time.

This thread is funny.

I laugh at every scene his "mother" is in. When his dad is kicking her ass. When his "mom" and his dad are doing it on the couch. When he comes home and his mother is all beat up and sitting outside. The hospital scene when she is leaning over his body.

I was a very small child when this movie came out so I never noticed that the woman playing his mother was white. Now that I've seen it as an adult, that shit is fuckin hilarious! Actually all the scenes with his dad are pretty funny too. "Don't ever get married." Pure comedy!

The numerous times that Apollonia says the word "hey" throughout the movie.

Oh the part that gets me EVERY DAMN time has to be:

"ANSWER ME MOTHERFUCKER!"

You can tell he's really stretching his acting skills there, trying so hard to be pissed off-but it's just hilarious. You guys are right, the move he does after that is hysterical.

Not the funniest moment most people would think, but after his dad's on his way to hospital before he finds his dad's music-when his mind flashes to different ways to kill himself-maybe that's the noise you guys are talking about that cringe noise he makes when he sees him on a noose for that split moment just makes me laugh-definitely sounds like it could be an overdub.

Also when he's trashing the basement afterwards. It's just so drama queen-esque. "My daddy's gone to the hospital-fuck you basement!"

And the Oscar goes to...

It's not overdramatic-not at all.

Any scene with Morris/Morris and Jerome is just about guaranteed for a laugh, and I love Wendy going off on Lisa-now those two could act. Ok, at least act better than most people in it.

Don't forget the faces Bobby Z makes when they're all in the dressing room about to go on-he's so sad, and it's so damn funny.

Maybe this is really a comedy after all?

I crack up everytime I see the scene where He's trying to makeout with Appolonia after he beat her ass for giving him the new guitar and joining Moris's girl band.

It's kind of like, "Look Woman--here's my fuckin love!!! Now give it the fuck up for some of my fucking love!!!!" But Appolonia doesn't warm to his advances, and the semi-wrestling match they have where he tries to beat her ass AGAIN cracks me the hell up.

I mean dude, if she's not in the mood, don't beat her ass!!! WTF was he on when he made that movie? Pick on somebody..erm..your own size.

The part that i thought was funny was when the Revolution and Prince are in the dressing room and then Wendy comes in and say's ..."Hi".. and it was all quiet- nobody said anything!! they just sort of ignored her kinda like-...Ah fuck you Wendy..don't nobody wanna talk 2 you LOL!
and Prince gives this... Im tired of yo ass look on his face ! and also when she starts talkin about how he didn't listen to their music n' stuff, Prince is over in his seat kinda playin' with the puppet and touches his hair alittle, then gives this ...damn, shut the hell up look on his face right before saying-'The nominees for best actresses are.." LOL! ha

PLEASE tell me that SOMEONE saw the look on Wendy's face at the end of the Purple Rain performance. Prince kisses her on stage and she makes this face like, "EWWWW!!!" I thought it was just me, but I showed it to my sister and she saw it too.

Other than that, I LOVE the part when Jerome throws that girl into the dumpster. Or the way Apollonia says New Orleans...cuz nobody from there would actually say it like that. And of course I noticed the little wimpy "ehhh" noise P makes when he's trashing the basement.

But all in all, the styles kill me now because we all thought they were so hot back then...the permed bouffant hairdos and those HUGE ASS GLASSES P wears. And what the hell was up with Jill's hair...you know...yellow hair DARK eyebrows!!!
