That song is absolute heaven, I just love it. Sorry Mani, but Call My Name has absolutely nothing on the kind of inspired romantic songwriting in Soul Sanctuary. Mayte got much better love songs written for her.

I almost think P kinda held back because of how The Mayte Experience turned out. Mani surely got some private performances but those recordings went straight to the vault I'm sure.

Soul Sanctuary may just be his most romantic song period. I'm scared to let a woman hear that in my presence cuz its so powerful, lol..

I like that song, basically is the only CD I listen to from Emancipation, Soul Sanctuary, Curious Child and Dreamin about U....

I Thought that Soul Sactuary was written mostly by Sandra St Victor (well maybe not the 'mangoes/nectarines/honeydew' part ... he prolly added that). It it still one of my favs, though. He sings it so well.

Also ... maybe its me ... but "Call My Name" sounds like a song to Mayte . 'Just can't stop writin' songs about ya ....' Also "three hours" could be poetic for "3 years". I thought he was singing to Mayte. I could be wrong, though.

He's written a LOT of songs to/about Mayte. -

Mani has not gotten nearly her share .

I love it, but who is DOOK? And what has he done with POOK?
