Prince vids that could/should of been better...... Most of Princes many,many videos r pretty boring really- particually post gold experience as Prince had no label to make a good one (except ".....by golly wow! and "Holy river").....even at warners, most his vids were average.....
I think "Sexy mf"- whilst a good video, coulda been better somehow- hardly any dancing and a remix would of been good too "Gold"- concepts 4 this one r sky high- but it ended up being.....- another average performance video (that made the song sound even more dated) "My name is prince"- striking visually, setting and crowd idea perfect- but prince acts like a twat in vid.....NPG look good 4 the time.....Prince looks goofy..... "Glam slam" "New power generation"- "I know lets make a video featuring clips from a movie that we know will bomb....." With right choreography and street dance moves, vid honestly could of been a sucsess- definate potential wasted..... "Sign of the times"- Lazy and boring.concepts again sky high..... "The Continental"- not a single- made a vid anyway-coulda been a good idea 4 this one..... "little red corvette"- 1999 vid is great- but same again- couldn't do much with this one though.... any more vids u were dissapointed in? Anything that annoyed u about them?..... | |

oh lord, just about all of 'em.
videos have never been prince's strong suit...they're more about seeing what he did with his hair and what he's wearing than seeing a well-made music video. | |

I like the PP video, it was one of my very first introductions to Prince.
As for the SOTT video - sorry, but it's bordering on Iconic, that is a video for the ages. Prince is a very poor representative of the video age, but SOTT is one of his greatest visual achievements. The promo videos to the Batman & Diamonds & Pearls singles are all very good to. I can't say they're all that interesting (bar Batdance & Partyman) but they are remembered, the image of Prince in the Cream video is a lasting image I think. | |

"Let's Go Crazy" could have been a lot better. It was just clips from the movie that everyone had already seen. Same thing with The Time's "Jungle Love" video. Andy is a four letter word. | |

Prince ain't no Michael Jackson (overblown video's and shit...) but Sign "O" The Times is a classic vid... Sure, most of his vid's are shite but Sign "O" The Times (and Partyman) is just perfect for the song(s)... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

The cool thing about "Let's Go Crazy" was that it had different takes of the performance for the movie... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O
