'Dolphin' For today, anyway.

But, maybe because I've been listening to 'The Gold Experience' all morning, and now I can't get the tune out of my head.

Nearly even broke into song at work!

If you heard me sing, that could even be a sackable offence!

As tired as I am of it, Purple Rain is probably his best song.

This may sound strange because it's not my favorite Prince song and probably not in my Top 20 favorite Prince songs, but I still believe that one particular song is the best song (keeping in mind all musical, lyrical, and emotional factors) he ever made, and that song is:

"Purple Rain"

I still say this is the best one. I don't know why everyone here doesn't agree with me. shrug

I'm SO with you on this one.

Not only do I consider this the best Prince song, I consider it the greatest song ever made, period.

Hi! Another question for today and maybe if I get enough responses for the week. We all have our favorite Prince songs (mine being Purple Rain) for one reason or another. The reason I started to get into to Prince is because I am a artist myself and I have never seen anyone put as much emotion in their music as Prince has, and for that reason, I am a fan. Prince has a lot of music (like you guys didn't already know that), but my question for today is, what do YOU think is his best song lyrically and musically? I know many of you will respond that Prince may not have a best song, but for those of you who have gone to the concerts over the years, which song do YOU think makes the concert. Or which song do you think Prince should not do a concert without. Your opinions matter very much to me as many of you know I have only been a fan of his music for a couple of months now. And one other thing, if I may, what do YOU the fans think are Prince's top three albums of his career to this point. Thank-you all once again for responding to this and all other posts I have previously done.

Musically: Condition of the Heart (the piano playing really gets me)

Lyrically: Sometimes It Snows in April & If I Was Your Girlfriend (very clever song)

I think Kiss might be the most perfect, but Crystal Ball may be the most accomplished.

Purple Rain will be the one always associated with his name.

IMO quite mind blowing actually crysball blowup
