Prince Graces MuchMoreMusic With His Purpleness

We've already hypothesized on Prince's apparent love of Canada and you've got to admit, the dude has been good to us in recent years. While the purple one's current Musicology tour only has scheduled shows in Toronto (he played the ACC last night and returns tonight), he's not going to leave the rest of you empty handed. While in T.O., Prince will record a MuchMoreMusic special, which will be broadcast later this week.

Chum-FM listeners and viewers of CityTV's Breakfast Television had a chance to win wristbands this morning (sorry, you snooze, you lose). At an undisclosed date and time, Prince will stealthily enter the Much environment, where he'll be interviewed by Billy Welychka. Prince and his band will also play a selection of songs and will answer some questions from the audience.

Seeing as Prince doesn't exactly have a reputation for being particularly media friendly, the Much people are going to milk this one for all its worth. The show will debut on Sunday (August 1), airing at 9 p.m. ET on MuchMoreMusic and MuchVibe. For you non-cable types, the show will be rebroadcast at 8 p.m. the next evening on CityTV Toronto and CityTV Vancouver.

...and once again...as always...NW Ontario is left out of everything...
