Rediscovering “it”

Ever rediscovered a song that you forgot was good?

I forgot how much I liked “it”!
His performance of “it” in sign O the Times Concert
was Awesome! That movie is underrated!

What's you'r favorite song you forgot?
We all want a big hit again because
we want to relive the Hysteria & Pandemonium we experienced
when Purple Rain was Hot. Actually, he doesn't care if it happens again or not.

I love "It" on the SOTT album...
Prince practically screaming "I think about IT all the time..." Surely no truer words were ever spoken! wink

Oh yes! I totally agree. Whenever I listen to that song, I leave it on repeat for a while. Great tune!

I often find myself "rediscovering" old P tunes that haven't been on my recent playlist. Luckily, P has so many gems.

The Sign O The Times movie is underrated? I haven't heard a bad word spoken on the Org. And yeah 'It' is a great track!

I think my rediscovery lately must be Lovesexy & U Got The Look. I've like Lovesexy for a long while anyway, but it's hitting me hard these past few weeks. As for U Got the Look, that shit sounded GOOD in concert. I was never crazy about it but I have a new respect for it now biggrin
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I've always liked 7, but I completely forgot how much I LOVED it until I heard it played live on the Musicology tour. What an amazing song. I sang along harder and louder than I did for any other songs Prince and the NPG played. It was a definite highpoint.

When I first bought the "Sign O The Times" album, "It" was the first thing to catch my ear. It sounds kind of like the "old Prince". That's the first jam I play when I play that album. "Housequake" is my second favorite.

Same situation for me! "It" grabbed me first, then "Housequake", then "Strange Relationship"..then (most) of the rest! As for "It", the first time I realized he snuck in that "fucking on your mind" lyric, a great song got better!

i listened to this today again, and it only reconfirmed more strongly what i've thought for the last 8 years.

this is one of prince's greatest tracks.
i don't care what so many have said about him 'ruining' the song, or other versions, etc. what an 10minute+ jam of epic proportions. its a symphony.
it blends the raw and raunchy with the sexy/spiritual as no other song does. soooo superfunkycalifragilovesexy.

and then the segue into sp a c e .....whooooo!
and i'm transported, cuddling on mars

I don't like the mix in "IT"

It think the drumming is too harsh and sharp sounding.

Despite, I always liked the song. It's simply, sparse, and stright to the point.

"It" is basically about vaginas.

Having sex involves just vaginas? Now that explains why it isn't really working for me...
