The Slaughterhouse - Are the freaks gonna bop to this ?

Hi there,

At last !!! I am now the proud owner of The Slaughterhouse album - after about 3 hours downloading ! confused

First impression is that it is rather funky and missing the Rnb slushy mush that he's been spurting out lately (which is a good thing wink )

Just wondering what the rest of yous think about this album.

And what you think of it in comparison to Chocolate Invasion and C-Note (as I dont have these yet).

Thanks in advance.

Id be very surprised if didnt like CI since you like Slaughterhouse. IMO (and in many others opinions) The Chocolate Invasion is much better and coherant album. But still, i dont find neither of those too impressive. Musicology beats them easily.

I do love the Controversy single from Hawaii. And C-Note is sometimes actually quite nice, and sometimes just nice. Go figure.

Le Bataclan is good jam, except they have cencored the NGP in the motherfucking house -chant from the beginning, which actually makes it more boring than on Bataclan-boot.

The new virtual b-sides are both great.

But three hours to download???

What the fuck is "Slushy mush"?

Chocolate Invasion is much better than Slaughterhouse, but TCI is flawed too. I've said many times, as have others, that the two mixed together would have been an AWESOME album. As it stands, we have two good albums with a lot of filler.

C-Note is good, I know it's good, because I listened to it a lot when I first got it.....but somehow...I just don't play it that much now.

shrug

I think the "High/Peace" sessions, which became "The Chocolate Invasion", "the Slaughterhouse" & some others NPGMCYear1 stuff, r wonderful, they have this "punk/funk" energy that made Prince's so "pure" between 80 & 84, & it's so good 2 hear the old linn drum machine again !
