An Ethical Challenge?

How can Prince, in good faith, approve the remasters of his catalogue? How can he help sell product which he now considers harmful to the public?

He's been contradicting himself for years. He'll do it.

This is my fear. If he gets control of his masters I am worried he will butcher them and re-edit them to be "family friendly", and may also re-record stuff that bothered him.

Many people argue that once art is exposed to the world it no longer belongs to the people who made the art, but to the public who has observed it. I believe the same holds true for music, which is why I am one of the few people who thinks Prince shouldn't have control of his music.

I mean, just look at the albums he does have control of. How many of them are still in print?

In my view he should just deal with it and let warners re-release those records. He can't change what he was in the past. His back catalogue is still widely available anyway anyone can hear it. If he put those albums out and edited them it would be ridiculous! Just get over it Prince!!!
