Are there other artist that have as many bootlegged concerts and unreleased recordings as P does?

Most likely. Gotta remember, there are groups that allow recording of their live gigs, like the Grateful Dead. They've been doing that for, what, three generations now? But nobody but the recording artists themselves can say for sure how many unreleased recordings they have.

Yes. A bootleg is an illegal recording of material not commercially available. Usually bootlegs contain live shows or unreleased studio out-takes.

With a burned boot I have a feeling you're talking about the method that someone has recorded (burned) a cd of the existing bootleg recording, to either distribute it or listen to it via cd form themselves.

An illegal copy of an oficially- released audio or video recording is generally referred to as a 'pirate' whereas the term 'bootleg' generally refers to unofficially-released recordings.

Interesting list Marrk but before it was shut down Guide 2 Prince.org listed over 1000 Prince bootlegs.

Its funny how Michael Jackson is so far down the list?

It would seem that Michael being the most successful "commercially" would have more bootlegs floating around?

I don't know why he's on the list at all. He hardly ever sings live so WHY bootleg some prerecorded nonsense? confused
