I was watching my "Sign 'O' The Times" DVD last night, and thought how odd it was to have the triangle between him, Cat, and Gregory... it just seemed, familiar.

After thinking about it, this was not the first love triangle I had seen him in, it reminded me of Purple Rain, him, Apollonia, and Morris.

For give my tangent, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he's always shown this.
