I saw him last nite at MSG in NYC !!

I'm just wonderin ..does Prince know about this website ?

1st Time:

I was backstage at Universal Amphitheatre in Ca for a Sheila E concert (Love Bizarre period).

There were all kinds of stars there walking around me... Magic J etc... It was rumored during this tour that Prince was showing up and performing love bizarre during some of the concerts...

So, there I am with my friend from school hanging out in the patio area next to the coffee makers when a door opens. Dude!!!!! It's Prince and his dad. I saw this little kid with an autograph book nearby, so I asked him for a piece of paper and his pen. After P finished getting his coffee, I went up to him and asked for his autograph. Without hesitation, he bent over and signed it on his left knee "Love God - Prince" I told him that I was his biggest fan... He said, "I'm yours". I asked him if he was performing tonight. He said, "uh hmm" . Then I finally asked him when his new album was coming out. He gave me the month (don't remember) He was cool... In fact, if you've seen the Rolling Stone issue with Wendy and Lisa standing on each side of him... That's exactly what he was wearing, including the sunglasses. I still have this issue because that pic was taken that same night. RS coincidently interviewed him.

So there I am dumbfounded... I just met P... I ran back into the auditorium to tell my mom... Fat Boys were playing, I believe... Anyway, my mom decides she wants to get into the act too, so she goes back to the green room to see him. He was still there, and now I noticed some of the revolution there too. (Fink, Brown Mark, Bobby Z... No Wendy & Lisa though) My mom says to him, "My son has posters of you all over his room!" P goes, "Uh Ooh" sarcastically. I was embarrassed, but it was cool! Later that night, P performed Erotic City, Head, Love Bizarre, and Mountains (unknown @ the time). At one point, P walked off the stage into the crowd, and then on his way back to the stage my mom flashed a couple pics in his face!!... Still got 'em... I'll post them later on.

To top it off, I caught Sheila's Drumstick... still have it too!! (Well, I didn't catch it... it bounced off my hand and I had to dive to the floor.)


2nd Time:

Rainbow Children Celebration... After hearing the new cd, we were taken to some back room which held his concert props and such... After a long discussion, he was kinda standing around and mingling. I asked him if he was doing an after party after the concert that night. He said, “Don’t know… depends if the gear gets here.” I didn’t want to ask to many stupid questions. You have to be careful not to intrude on his ever so charitable presence.

I didn't actually meet him, but he walked right up to me at Paisley Park.

It freaked me out, I froze like a deer in headlights, and I thought to myself... why is looking dead at me and walking right toward me?

I thought he was coming to kick my ass or throw me out for whatever reason, you know... all these different thoughts running through my head in a matter of seconds. I wanted to blurt out that I did nothing wrong, but he walked right up to me, and I FROZE.

Then in the blink of an eye, he kinda wisked/twirled around me, and I'm like... what is he going to do? I turn around and he walked up the little stairway to the VIP couch.

I was standing in front of the stairs, kinda blocking his way. I guess if I'd really been in his way, he might've said something to me, but he didn't.

I guess if I ever had a chance to say something to him, all I can think of, would be to thank him for the Lovesexy album.

hahaha this thread is hilarious im sorry. I can imagine freezing up in front of Prince and stammering out something stupid to him. I bet he has little patience and a short fuse so I bet he cant tolerate stupid questions and stuff LOL I just met Jerome Benton a few weeks ago he was nice, I met Monte Moir too. these cats were cool but I think in front of Prince I wouldnt say anything much for fear he might get mad at me. he already shot me a few dirty looks at his concert I went to. It was like we were alone in there and He knew I was his most diehard fan, but did not approve LOL yeah, I bet he has little patience.

I have never met him, but i did sit 1 seat away from him at a Sheryl Crow concert 5 years ago at the Beacon Theater NYC. I did not attempt to talk to him. His body guard was in the seat next to me watching my every move. I again saw him run into his hotel during the Lovesexy tour in NYC. He did take a note my sister wrote him as he passed by us. I also got a glimpse of him getting into his limo in the street some where in Manhattan 96 or 97 with the same bodyguard he had at the Sheryl Crow show. I saw him 3 times & out of the 3 i still managed to never actually meet him. "DAMN"!

But anyway what I was gonna say was I think he is way more patient than you give him credit for under the circumstances....At the first celly...he was constantly stared at...I mean like really bad. People would just stand right in front of where he was at and just stare at him...non-stop, and he would just sit there and take it...every once and a while he would turn his back to them...kinda to say like...take a hint..but..no one took the hint. I've heard some stories of people coming right up to him to say thank you and what not and he seems very gracious about it....even for the folx who are a lil over the top...he tends to kinda make jokes....like saying "uh-oh" and makes a silly face. He's pretty good about it.

I have to say that I have never met him even though ive seen him pretty close. I have dreamt of him at least 10 times in my life and it has always been very real seeming to me. I know this doesnt count, but Ive always been somewhere then Prince shows up and we kick it for awhile. sometimes I say something dum to him and he gets aggrevated.I wake up in the morning feeling like ive met him. I intend to one day maybe going up to paisley park or somethin'

My brother, his girlfriend and I were watching the DVD in the corner of the screening room closest to the stage room. I looked back over my shoulder to once again see how the stage room was filling up and Prince was standing right behind me. Just like in PR when he is standing behind Apollonia with those big shades on, no not really. He was watching the screen talking to a kid that had been dancing with him on stage at the Xcel Center (same kid showed up Fri night in a suit possibly made by Prince’s tailor. He had on the half tail jacket and was dressed to impress). I honestly did not even see him standing there at first or it just did not register for a minute. I know I stared for a second before someone else walked up and said hello to him, breaking my trance and allowing me the opportunity to step up, shake his hand and thank him for a great show and for opening Paisley for the aftershows. He smiled and said thanks and I backed away to allow him privacy.

I turned back to my brother and his girlfriend and they were like…”hey, are you okay, what took you so long to say something to him?” Apparently, they saw him before I did and were trying to tell me he was standing there while I was in a catatonic state looking right at him. I can only imagine that I looked somewhat like my two year old son when he met Elmo at a church carnival. “Uh, uh, uh…Daddy…Elmo!!” I never had a strong desire to meet Prince (you know, the whole man behind the curtain syndrome), but in a split second my night went from beautiful to absolutely amazing.

Yes, I've met him.

I was in line behind him at a SuperWalmart here in Tampa, and he held the line up for at least 15 minutes.

He was giving the lady at the cash register a hardtime about the price of the groundbeef here (Appearantly it's cheaper up north).
