Last night on channel 9 news they said that P was now happly married and a father. If this is true congradulations to the new parents. Does anyone know when the baby was born and if Mani had a girl or a boy?

This is news to me

Technically he's a dad although the child died shortly after birth.

hold up: channel 9 here in mpls? know what? every morning on their morning newscast they mostly repeat stuff from the other night. they didn't mention anything of the sort this morning, so i doubt if they even said that to begin with.

If Prince ever does have a child I wish he would announce it so we all could be happy for him! He does not have to release photo's or even tell us the name.. but just that he and Mani were blessed with a boy/girl.. PERIOD..
I don't think that is really "prying" in to his life.... just wanted to share in his joy..... right??

I don't doubt that Prince would or could keep the birth of another child secret, in fact that sounds about par for the course. But it seems unlikely he'd let the news leak out like this. Just another case of sorry (and insensitive) fact-checking on the journalist's part.

I wouldn't be surprised. The last baby deal went horribly wrong and in glaring lights of the media.
His wife is from Toronto, she could have had the baby there. It seems Canadian fans are not as intense prying as US fans. (sorry, but that includes me too) and with Mani being so very thin (according to most reports) it is not unusual for a woman who is very small and petite to not show until the last few weeks of pregnancy which could have been hidden by hanging out in Toronto.
Someone else has speculated that this happy event maybe why Prince is so happy these days and suddenly he and Mani are showing up every where glowing.

I think it is a definite possibility.

As horrible as this sounds..I often wonder if Princes first baby didnt pass away but that the story was cooked up to allow the kid to grow up in peace.

I dont have all the facts so it may be totally rubbish (I dont want to anger anyone) but wasn't there some cover-up with the death certificate and Prince always seems so relaxed about the issue saying things like "its all good"

As I say - Im probably just being ignorant but it always seemed strange to me

I seriously doubt this man would leave a fairly brand new baby to go on the 2004-ever tour. I just don't think he would want to miss all the changing that would go on with a baby during that time span. Especially and particularly given what happened with the last baby.

The end of Xpedition had a baby crying, was actually vannessa mae on her Violin recreating the sound of a baby. Could be a clue though huh?

Somewhere, somehow, somebody would've came out with this information a long time ago. It came out that he got a divorce from Mayte, it came out that he is married to Mani, (and he never said so until recently). It came out that he moved to Toronto. A lot of information leaks it's way out. A baby isn't something that can be hidden, I don't care how small or large the woman is. Mani has been seen on the regular and was as thin as she is now, Plus with the grueling tour schedule. After his first experience, I believe he would take the time out to spend with his child, especially remembering how much he wanted to be a father the first time around. Just my

well i 4 one could care less if Prince had a kid or not. its not my buisness. if he has one great and if he doesn't well thats great 2 i guess. but if and when Prince decides 2 have a baby he's gonna have one. and my bet is he's gonna try 2 hide it the best way possible. and if it gets leaked it gets leaked o well. but i hope that if that does happen ppl don't do what they did 2 mj when he had a kid..b flyin all over and around the hospital and shit. cuz he and mani don't deserve that.
