Does any1 else have the feeling that Prince is singing about U??

I 4 1 have had, and still have, that feeling about a lot of his songs. There4 I wouldn't mind meeting the man and do some brainstorming. I just don't get things out of my head and onto paper, no matter how I try.

Any others with the same feelings ??

I just feel like he spells it all out really well, and sings over it really good ofcourse. It's like when I hear a song, I'm like that's exactly how I feel and more!!! Love songs especially...I write poems and things like that, but I love Prince's style in writing, I just think he's above it all.

After thinkin about it.....many of his songs I can place into my life but not as they were released....for instance...PAISLEY PARK has been ongoing theme for me for MANY years (how old is that song?? oh shit...how old am I!!!) FOEVER IN MY LIFE keeps me hoping that I will end up settling down with that special 1.....man gotta think about this...be back later!

May sound funny, but a lot of songs he released from PR till about D&P came at the same time i could relate them to events in my life. At the moment it's more like relating old songs 2 the situation i'm in right now. They r still saying what and how I feel though.

If I could B anything other than human, I wish I was Prince. Just 4 the fact 2 B able 2 put things into songs like HE can.

Well yeah, I felt that way also among many of his songs. I mean I've gone way back and can still relate to and enjoy the songs, that's why I admire him so much! His music is universal, genuine and pure. which is why I think it can relate to anyone, at any one time, and at any age. I think you feel so much like you say because you've recognized his wonderful and amazing talent, and although not everyone can do quite the same, the fact that you've experienced it, and see it, is a beautiful thing all by itself...

Prince is singing about HIS life experiences, dreams and visions. He's always had something to say about HIMself, and most of us seem to relate/react to the message he conveys depending on the quality of his music. If the music's shit, the messages have a hard time being heard.

How many people think Prince is singing about their lives in New Power Soul?! Probably some, but not many...

It is more then 2 years since I've heard Prince music. At the radio stations they realy bring very seldom something.

Its wierd cos I havnt brought the prince albums in order of release or anything, but each one I buy discribes that part of my life pretty well. Its nice to have that sort of connection to when I brought the album. Each one has a story
