listen...please ....but everyday for the last 20 years or so i have listened to Prince.Yes im addicted to his music and character.This is my question, and no offence to any sister or bro, DO any one else that Prince could be like a modern day Jesus,with all his music and lyrics affecting me deeply,i mean Truely , so deep that his music is religous to me?,,,Hey i aint no crank..i live a good life with my wife and kids .. but for the love of God im am so blessed to have lsiten to Prince most my life that i feel i can try and justify in what i say..may he live and enjoy he's live as much as i love him...goodnight anf thx. | |

ummm no sorry Prince is not the second comming. Altho it would b cool 2 have a different image of Jesus instead of that dashiki wearin blonde haired blued eyed stoner hippy that we got 4 one now. Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...

 I'm sorry but I find this thread kinda CrAzEE.
I mean...Prince...Jesus...The Second coming....What are you on? Prince may be a musical genius and all, but he certainly is NOT a divine being. He is deeply religious however. sorry 2 b mean, but u're coming off kinda crazy. | |

do not worship false idols. Prince ain't Jesus, but your worship of him leads you away from your worship of the true lord and savior, and if Prince is doing it intentionally that would make him a devil. therefore, Prince is not your Messiah, he is your devil, your death, your damnantion to eternal suffering. that is your reward for your worship of him.
your only path to repentence is to stop listening now and set your soul on the correct path to forgiveness in Gods eyes. your continual listening of Prince will only take you further way from God. this message brought to you by logic. | |

I think Prince would even cower away if you told him you were comparing him to JESUS.
Jesus could have been anything he wanted to be and could have done anything he wanted to do. He was born with a mission and spent his life living it out. Prince sometimes writes and plays music that conveys his interpretation of who Jesus was and what Jesus did. Prince also wrote "Head" and "Jack U Off." See the difference? Don't know if Jesus could play any instruments but I imagine he'd have been a pretty quick learner. I think people should be able to believe in whatever they choose to believe in, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. If believing in Prince makes ya feel good, believe in Prince, and let everyone else wonder why your smile is so wide. What's the use of being young if you ain't gonna get old

This is the most fucked up form of idol worship I've ever seen. Prince is sexy, beautiful, a true musical genius in every sense of the word....but a Jesus figure? COME ON!
