Would you buy "The Singles" box set If Prince and Warner Bros had done what The Who have just done and released a CD Album containing "The Hits" (as they did in 93) and also released a box set(s) containing all the singles ever released as CD Singles/EPs with the A-Side, B-Side and 12inch Version...

I'd buy the box set, then make my own "hits" compilation. Only way I'd buy a hits album seperately is if it had tracks not available anywhere else.

WB was going 2 sell this set back in 93-94.My friend owned a record store and had over 350 orders from die hard fans(this was befor the NET!!)  ,the set was going 2 be around 25 cds with the hit on one side with the long ex.ver.on the b-side!But it got PULLED by WB.I belive it had something 2 do with Prince and all his contract problems.This would have be a GREAT set!
If WB was smart they would do it NOW!Really flood the market with OLD school Prince LONG ver. | |

Too bad they got pulled... I'd buy a (complete) box set without questions asked... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

i would buy a compilation if they were all condensed into a CD compilation, but i don't like the whole idea of selling a box set of a bunch of CDs with one or two tracks on each disc...it's just a way to jack up the price for something that's gonna take up more space on my shelf. if this were the only option though, sure, i'd get it. i'd be sorely tempted to burn all the tracks onto 2 or 3 cds and then sell the bitch back, though... | |
