We have been listening to Prince's genius work so long that an album like Musicology will probably not satisfy all of us, but to the general public, it's like oh my god.

But compare his album to everyone else out and it is fire! It just depends on how you look at it. Most of the general public's ears is not on a high genius level like us prince.org-ers!

That's why a song like "7" is hot now when people hear it again, but was like I don't know when it first came out.

I was chatting to one of my friends son's who's 17 who was asking me about Prince (it's common knowledge i listen to all his music all of the time) i told him i'd lend him some of his cd's..... after listening to them he gave them back telling me

"the lyrics are good but musically it is very weak, music is far better these days" i didn't stop laughing till i was rolling on the floor.....

prince's garbage (not refering 2 musicology) is britney's gold. that's the way i look at it.

prince could release a burp on cd and it would still sound better than the best the pop scene has to offer these days.
