Religious Prince... Whats the Big Deal?

ever since He turned into a JW theres so much hype about how his beliefs has affected his music
Im an Athiest and i Enjoyed "The Rainbow Children"
I was Blasting LAst DECEMBER on my car sterio
you would of thought i was a born again christian
I really don't care how he's inspired or what he writes
If the Music is good, why should it suffer because of someone sbeliefs?

i keep hearing it was "Too spiritual" that it was offensive?
wtf?
I can dig it!

Been religion in the music for a while. The Ladder, The Cross and so on. The religion angle aint new and I reckon that these songs are usually some of the better ones. The man believes, who cares what denomination he is. Too much made in press abot being JW.

Until he hands people in the front row copies of The Watchtower and tries to preach to you.

Also, I've always figured women should be offended by the lyrics in 1+1+1=3. I mean for the love of God in the live version he has the women cheering loudly when he says he's singing about "theocratic order". WTF - they are cheering that he feels that men are more important then women? The theocratic order is God - Man - Woman.

I agree with u 100%. It's the same way when he has an opposite political stance as the majority, his song gets over criticized 4it!

well, yeah, but it really isn't that funky. it's a tame, watered-down Erotic City, if you ask me.....

love it live, but on the album it's a bit of an underacheiver.
