I hate when ppl don't expand on their opinion. What's wrong with it? Explain.

With Prince's recent political jams, I was all ready for this one, but I kinna feel let down. To me it's a good idea that went wrong with overproduction, gloss and a 'lil too much cheese "Everybody stop fighting...everybody make love" barf In my opinion this ones not too far from a New Power Soul outtake.

if it's not on the "mixing board" of selections, then click "more music" and it will be on the other mixing board.

I couldn't find it either. Just click the "download" link on the intro to the new song at www.npgmusicclub.com (you know, the little video thing before you can actually go to the web site).

I like it.

Starts out, I thought "Oh well, here we go, another sound-a-long toss off, same sound he's had since Emancipation" - But it has some nice elements.

I like the "doo-doo-do-doo-do-doo's" in the chorus. smile

Not mad about the horns.

If I understand your question correctly: Yes, you have to pay for it 0,99/0.77 for non members/member.

About the song, my first impression is mwah....ok...I was more hopeful when I heard a fragment on the intro of NPGMC....Maybe it will grow...

Why do I keep singing Janet Jackson's 'Nasty' throughout the song?

I'm actually quite impressed with this. To me it sounds very much like the type of B-Sides we heard in the mid-late eighties.

But as for "Everybody stop fighting...everybody make love". Tack-A-Rama!

I like the music, okay. It definitely isn't up there in the upper half of Prince's work, though. The lyrics are great! When he talks about driving through his old neighboorhood and everything being the same, except he could change the hurt and pain, he leaves us hanging. Is he going to use some of his Musicology4ever loot to help out the boyz in the hood?

Happy 4th, Canada Day, Birthday... whatever ur celebrating!

Peace & Luv,

Got quite a heavy beat to it, thought maybe we were gonna here a rock song, but it doesn't quite go there - sounded very much like 'Judas Smile' in the middle I thought. Felt it needed a kick-ass guitar solo somewhere, but then I usually think that of most Prince tracks. At the end is a longish musical outro with that sampled horns sound he uses a lot recently. With such a great horn section I don't know why he doesn't let them do something live-sounding instead of cut up and edited.

Overall, okay, but I hate that 'do-do-do' bit, you expect some catchy words of wisdom at that point when he says, sing! and all you get is 'do-do-do', followed by the kinda lame 'Everybody stop fighting, everybody make love' I mean, it doesn't even rhyme!

But I'm sure everybody will in fact stop fighting and make love because Prince has said that.

do do do do doo do
do do do do doo do
do do doo do dooo

He's a lyrical genius you know.

I like this too, it's catchy

I love the booming drum, specially the drum break with "black/white, straight/gay, christian/muslim"

let's remind ourselves now, this is an on-line B-side

as b-sides go, this works for me.

and as someone else mentioned, I actually prefer this (on my 3rd listen) to some of what's on Musicology...

hey, it was .77, I am TOTALLY satisfied smile

....edit....

Anybody-- is he saying:

"We let Superfly straighten up our curly hair
He took the afro off the game"

or is it "out the game"? Or something else...?
