Internet stream: http://www.theernestexperience.net

{{{Episode 203 of Ernest Experience Radio Show will be airing a brand new interview w/ keyboardist for The Time, Monte Moir. Monte Moir has been a singer, songwriter and producer since the early ’80s, where he began his career as part of a local band called Flyte Tyme.}}} Flyte Tyme later became the core of the innovative R&B group, The Time, which helped define the ‘Minneapolis Sound’ of the ’80s, and under the early direction of Prince, ended up becoming one of the most innovative and often-imitated R&B bands of the ’80s. Rolling Stone magazine once called The Time “the funkiest band in America,” and in 1983 the group was nominated for an American Music Award.

Monte was one of the original members of The Time, along with Morris Day, Jellybean Johnson, Terry Lewis, Jesse Johnson and Jimmy Jam. The band has toured on and off through the years in the U.S. as well as Europe and Japan. In 1995 The Time took to the road again and have been welcomed back by a wide and loyal audience. Monte has written and produced many songs for various artists, including Janet Jackson and Gladys Knight, and recently completed his first solo CD, This Side of Paradise. And yes, the fellas are back! Morris, Jerome, Jellybean and Monte have been touring on and off for the past couple of years all around the world. They also have some new additions to the band, Freeze on bass, Tori on guitar, and Chance on keyboards. Monte's plans include assembling a band and touring in support of the new CD as well as writing and recording a second CD.

In the interview, Monte answers questions like what happened to the Corporate World CD? Just how much input did Prince have on all the Time albums? Why did he leave The Time when rehearsals for Purple Rain had already started? What does he think of Prince's "The Rainbow Children"? Have there been tracks recorded for a new The Time album? Will there be a new The Time CD soon?.....plus a lot more.

The interview will also showcase 4 new tracks from the Monte's new CD This Side Of Paradise, including "On My Way Home", "For Want and Desire", "I'm The One Who Loves You", the title track, plus possibly more.

The Ernest Experience Radio Show is broadcast 24/7 on Live365.com, with both dial-up and broadband streaming links, and can be found at http://www.theernestexperience.net There are Radio links in the drop down menu as well as the Quick Link section in the right column of the page. This June edition of The Ernest Experience Radio Show will house not only the Monte Moir interview, but other great music as well.

Also to note: The show kicks off with an exclusive NEW track from Dr. Fink. Wayne Gerard remixed the title track to Dr. Fink's Ultrasound CD, and the Ernest Experience Radio Show will be the first to premier it. The remix will be available soon on Dr. Fink's website as well. A playlist can be found on the website under Radio, then choosing Radio 2, for the 2nd year's playlist.

Monte Moir's website can be found at http://www.montemoir.com. There are links on both Monte's page as well as The Ernest Experience to purchase This Side of Paradise from CDbaby.com.

Coool!
I'm glad Monte had his site redesigned! Looks waaay better.

And I'm digging the Lovesexy letters for Dr. Fink's banner on your site!

And the questions, THOSE are the questions that should to be asked!

Imagine all the stories Monte, Dr. Fink, Jerome, Morris, Jellybean have...

Thanks!

One thing I've been fortunate to have is a good dialogue w/ Matt Fink. He's such a normal guy (as is Monte), and he's just as funny as quirky as you might suspect from his one liner in Purple Rain. I consider it a priviledge to be able to just call Fink up and chat w/ him (which I do about twice a week or so). And yes he's told a few stories about just about anything, without me even prodding him. But at the same time, we could take an hour and not even mention Prince once. But unfortunately the stories I know about will stay with me. Just know that the Revolution people and most others are pretty cool people overall.

Thanks for listening and be sure to check the Monte interview.
