I hope this doesn't offend anyone because I'm actually trying to ask a legitimate question without sounding like I'm being patronising.

I've always wondered why Prince - an artist of such incredible talent and virtuosity - has a history of producing records for beautiful yet musically talentless ladies - Carmen Elektra, Mayte ect. ??

Okay, Mayte was once his beloved but what about all the others? Why does he bother?

It's not like he wastes his time with average musicians when he hand picks them for his bands - and he's had some awesome female muso's play alongside him.

But why does he always feel it necessary to produce an album for the beautiful ones?

I think ole' P is a real sucker for the ladies! ...I could just imagine Carmen: "Oh Prince can I pleeease have an album?! ...you promised!"

Well...no one really knows for sure (except Prince). But I'm guessing it was the ultimate pick up line, 'Hey baby, wanna come to my place and make a record??'

He hasn't done anything like that since Mayte's "Child Of The Sun" album in 1995. The old Prince was more of a player than the new one! Still, I really dig the Carmen Electra album!
