cheers to the Milwaukee Brewers, World Series 1982

sure they lost, but it was a great summer to catch some ball on tv - with Bob Ueker on the mic no less

If you happen to be in Wisconsin you should start paying a little attention to this years squad. For the first time in years it feels like they are playing with passion and heart. I think Ned Yost is on the verge of turning the ship around.

Not that you care, but being as this is probably as close as there will ever be to an active Milwaukee Brewers thread I am going to tell you that Robin won TWO MVP's in his great career. He won in 1982 as a shortstop and then again in 1989 as a centerfielder.

I haven't given the Brew Crew a second thought for many years but maybe you're right - it would be great to keep the losses under 100 this year! lol

AH! yes he did. the autograph was from 1982. my entire school went on a field trip to downtown milwaukee for the homecoming parade. even though they lost, we were all just appreciative that they went to the world series, y'know? the police initially were trying to hold everyone back from shaking the players hands when they were driving by in their cars... but that was futile. they finally gave up and people poured out into the streets and got as many autographs and shook as many hands as possible. twas a beautiful time.
