Morris Hayes speaks on "Exodus" (NPG love Exodus 25th)

A comment was given on this site that "no one gives a s%$! about the NPG!" I beg to differ. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the "Exodus" release. Not sure if love was shown on here. But here's an Audio clip of Morris Hayes speaking on the "Exodus" sessions. The whole interview is great and insightful.

SO much to love on Exodus.

Agree that the Peach and Black interview is great. Also this one: http://funknstuff.net/tir-morris-hayes/

Really appreciate when people do long interviews that go deep.

Do you suppose many people were unaware and missed out on this NPG album? Hope not...would be a real shame!

I think a lot of people missed out because Prince was feuding with WB at the time. Also the cd was hard to come by. Record stores had it going for $20+. Side project output at that times was suspect. Mayte, Carmen. But I agree it's a must have gem. 2nd album for the NPG.

The best NPG album and Prince's greatest and hardest funk following The Black Album. What an era!

I'm still curious about Prince's Tora Tora project from that time period.
