Are people more angry because they think she is lying or is it because she may be telling the truth?

Well everything is connected you know, maybe that was an integral part of his spiritual evolution.

Is there anything new in the book? Okay, so Prince played the field. I'm shocked!

That is certainly something I didn't know.

Especially that one where he has on the green sweater when he was about 10. But, let’s be positive today. 3 years ago from this moment, Prince was alive. Let’s celebrate that.

Yeah but who gives a fuck about his hair? That wouldn't be an interesting read at all. "Chapter One - Prince had nice hair. The End". That kind of book would have a VERY limited audience. At least this way, it will appeal to the people who like all that tabloid stuff. At the end of the day, all of these books by "associates" exist purely to milk every last cent out of Prince's legacy.

Had a lot of free time while the Org was down. There was a link provided on the web and I read it there.
I don't believe her on 95% of her book. Her work timeline is off too, Earl Jones was the hairdresser then Tonya, some of the stuff Kim is claiming is their work.....
Now this from Troy Gua:
Troy Gua3 hrs · I hate that I even have to do this, because my time is better spent elsewhere, and just giving it attention is against my instinct, but I need to clarify, FOR THE RECORD: while I did do some pro bono design work for Kim Berry during the very inception of her book project (I was enamored with Kim's personality and storytelling, as I think many of us were), my name, credited with graphic design work, appears IN ERROR in any and all copies of her recent book release. I asked several times to specifically NOT be credited in any way when I WAS briefly on board, so to see my name attached to this project NOW, which I had absolutely NO HAND in, is troubling, and I felt the need to share this publicly. Thanks for your time.

^^THIS I also downloaded the pdf. Wasn’t shocked about the womanizing part because we know that’s true. But she has no damn right to talk about his mother! That‘s the one thing that really pissed me off

That‘s the one thing that really pissed me off It does explain alot though. Sometimes I used to wonder if Prince was downright evil because of the way he used women and rejected the loving, awesome ones. Now i don't think He is evil at all but He was how He was because evil was done to him and he was deeply wounded. I have empathy for his suffering and a deeper appreciation for the alchemy He did taking something horrible and creating something beautiful in this world. He himself kinda alluded to the fact that his relationship with his mother was troubled from the earing scene in the Purple Rain script . It would be interesting to know who's decision it was to remove that part in the movie and why. Maybe it wasn't Kim's story to tell but it doesn't seem like anyone else is going to and Prince and his mother are both gone now. Maybe some people will be judgemental but maybe someone else will recognize themself in the story and change the course and/or path in their life. If it saved one soul, would that make it Ok?

Yes we know, I just hope those who have preordered part 1 get them before part 2 comes out. For some reason, those people who have bought and paid for them, aren't getting their books.

I read the book and it's ok but anticlimactic! At the end of the book she goes on a rant about other topics she can go into and I am like, ok she is really about to go in but the book abruptly ends! That was very disappointing! I have to agree with some of the other folks on here about what she stated about Prince's mother - that came out of left field! And her timeline is somewhat suspect! However, the part she shared about Prince's son and what he stated to her during that tragic period was riveting (same thing with Mayte's book - those disclosures were the most touching, insightful and believable part). For some reason when I heard she was writing a book about Prince - I thought she would be discussing his hair regime but she briefly brushed over that info. In addition, I thought she would share some of Prince's insights concerning the death of his brother (Duane),mother and father and about Denise but there was no revelation concerning that. I mean, all and all it was an ok read but outside of the passing of his son - there was nothing new that I learned about Prince (the human being)based on this book written by someone who states that they worked for him for almost 30 years (meaning countless hours he spent in her presence sitting in a chair getting his hair done)that I didn't already know! And unless she is planning to add some additional chapters to this book by reissuing it- that is saying a lot about the author! I am hoping Morris Day memoir reveals more insights concerning Prince as a person than this book!

She's already given a major interview on the Stevie Wonder owned radio station KJLH. I'm surprised that you're promoting this book to be honest. I didn't think you liked things that portray Prince in a negative light. Not to mention all the inconsistencies that's been pointed out. For shame, KCool, for shame.

I have no intention of buying this book. Over at LA it’s getting trashed and someone posted Facebook screenshots of a PP associate from the 91-94 time frame saying they don’t remember Kim being around which makes one wonder if she’s busy retelling others stories in a way that makes it look like a first hand recounting?
This makes me sad because I didn’t think Kim was like this. I thought she was one of the good ones but apparently not. And let me guess she’s going to be all over Minneapolis/Chanhassen during Celebration week selling her book, giving interviews, having hair events for $200 a pop. Disgusting.
