I am respectfully asking why should Jill be immune to discussion?
I think she knows her posts will be discussed and this is why she keeps posting.
I have seen much worse discussions about P and Tyka on the org.
Much, much, worse.
Just saying.
Just asking.

Agreed. Whilst the album cover isn't a "pussy shot" per se - it's a classic advertising technique to divert the eye - you're meant to look at her crotch from how the picture is composed, this was done on purpose. I'm not saying it's good, or bad - it's certainly not a new or revolutionary technique, far from it - but that's what it is in that sense, a pussy shot. . I mean, well done - we're talking about it. I've never heard her music, have no interest in hearing it - but I've discussed the cover, so I've not spent money on it, but I've contributed to promoting it. Purpose achieved. . We all know Jill's career with Prince, so she's done/sang worse - so maybe she's speaking from experience rather than just taking a shot? Thats exactly what it is, the way the photo is composed is deliberate to draw your eye to a certain part of the picture. As for the Lovesexy cover, theres no comparison, why that was posted is bizarre. Baby, you're a star.

My eye continually goes to the center, where her hand his hanging between her breasts
.
I think they used the Lovesexy cover because of nudity in general to get attention. Which is why people usually say people pose nude(it isn't) but where we have so many people with opinions and morals on sex and nudity, everyone interprets things different. Until people get over the shock of the pussy/cunt/vulva, how women sit stand etc will be scrutinized & judged. Mrs Manners says a woman should always sit with her legs closed so as to not draw unwanted lewed attention...
.
But I think this photo would be a better comparison

The use of the Iris that resembles a womans sexual area and the metaphors of flowers and female sexual innocence and chastity...

Princes Lovesexy cover is more akin to an artistic nude than an im sexually available image. The two images are worlds apart. The Lovesexy album contained somgs where Prince sang about an epiphany, a feeling of being born again, hence the nude image. If you listen to the album the cover makes sense. The Lovesexy cover is not about displaying his sexuality to sell records.

Jill can be extremely insightful, sensitive, and intelligent one minute and off the mark, dramatic, hurtful and hyperbolic the next. I chuck that up to her being extremely emotional when she writes online. I chose to think of it as her working her shit out and sometimes people/common sense are the collatoral damage from the process. I do think she has said some smart stuff about how the harassment issue is more complicated than the woman is always innocent/the victim. However, that cover she posted is not dirty and even if it were, I am not sure how that sends the message that harassment is okay.

At the end of tbe day Camilla Cabelo cam display herself how she likes on her cover, i couldmt care less about this non entity. I was pointing out the difference between the Lovesexy cover and her album cover. Now if you dont think tbey are different than you need to open your mind and try to look beyond your narrow view of nudity.

And what exactly is nude about Camila's Cover? She doesn't display her private parts, while Prince is completely naked.
And don't act like Prince never used sex to sell his Albums, but he gets a pass because he's a man, or why is it different? Think about the Dirty Mind Cover.....Every woman would've got slut shamed for posing like that. |

Bizarre that you think you know what I understand or not. When we have evidence you totally don't understand this thread. The ample evidence in this thread is your complete inability to comprehemd anything beyond your very basic understanding of artistic integrity. It was a discussion on SEVERAL album covers, I understand you came into the conversation late (of course the only reason you came here at all is to tell people how 'bizarre' the use of the LoveSexy cover was, meaning me, because you just can't stop following me around.) but please stop embarrassing yourself. |

She doesn't know jack shit. She likes to follow me around and make snide comments to me and about me. You notice she came into the conversation late, meaning she wasn't really interested in it, until she saw me use the lovesexy photo, and then tried to 'ding' me. How bizarre.

Jill Jones rant was like she never seen a racy cover before. I posted covers that were nudes to show the difference between a clothed CC and a naked JJ, and also posted P's cover to just show that it's not only the females who can be nude on a cover.
BB just likes to nit pick.
