I don't think she changed the lyrics like that when she sang them in 1984-1986

The lyrics she sings now are actually "I've been looking for a man, that would want to be my husband". She isn't trying to prove anything in my opinion, she is just changing the lyrics to a woman's perspective.

And she also changes the more risque lyrics in the verse (she sings "I just want your pretty eyes") as she feels uncomfortable (understandably) singing the original lyrics. Salt n' Pepa have changed the lyrics to "Whatta Man" too when they perform it now, if artists feel uncomfortable about the original lyrics to a song, I don't see why they can't change them in a live setting. As long as they don't rewrite history on actual remasters

I was wrong she did change it sometimes. But she always said man / man when she did-nice and sultry

For years people have said that Lynn is Sheila's girlfriend but to be fair they are not out as a couple. In fact for a few years she has gone to events with her dad or her mom.

I also do not see Lynn popping up on her social media and her recent interview with Lynn on her podcast sounded very business like to me. So maybe in the past but no so much together today.

I find it hard to believe that she would have a professional/personal relationship again after the disastrous results with her relationship with Prince. Since she admits they should not have has a romantic involvement and worked together.
