Yep
Father throws you out, Mother let's you go and someone else has to take care of you. Prince said that his mother did not know how to talk to him about 'male' things and just bought him adult literature and magazines

I have read numerous accounts from friends who say that Prince was a news junkie. I'd bet that's how Tamron Hall caught his eye.
YES Fly! You can tell by his interviews he was consuming a lot of tv. i think when he sat down the tv was on
a lot. Like how you can tell the kids who watch a lot of tv and movies vs the ones that are out doing
other things it is just kinda obvious. Now if you don't get to hang with kids who arent raised on tv
you will not however recognize this difference to which i speak. [Edited 10/13/17 7:49am] |

I don't know if he watched alot but he certainly watched Tv..He denied watching much in later years other than news, New Girl, and basketball, but I think he was fibbing a bit (throughout his statements, concert performances, and songs, there are references to Sex and the CIty, Dynasty, The LWord, Orange is teh New Black, Empire, Blackish, Sanford and Son, Batman, the Peanuts and even Coco Puff commericals (I am cuckoo for coco rock...from F.U.N.K.)

i think he was more talented but maybe not as complicated. Men are simple(i think) in their desires, horny
and wanting it all is not that hard to figure out. Chris Rock said "men are as faithful as their options."
less options = more faithful, more options=less faithful. I think it is really that simple sometimes
if he was willing to restrict his options he perhaps could have been faithful. He had the will power with
Meat. |

I always thought that CHris Rock quote had a lot of merit. I am not saying that P wasn't tempted by all the beautiful women...but he was also able to put them aside for music. So, I think sometimes he certainly could hold back. Also, its odd that people talked about times in which P just wanted to watch his girlfriends or dates takes baths or brush their hair. He seemed to have a degree of self control...the waiting until underage girlfriends were of age takes self control. Its easy to judge people as being non-faithful when one doesn't have many options tempting him/her in the first place. There are lots of beautiful enticing women in the world, how does P choose???LOL.
Another thought...this is going to sound like letting men off the hook. But if women were able to acheive orgasm as easily as men, would we be as faithful and in control of our urges as we are now??? Because it takes a bit more effort for us, we want the effort to be for a reason deeper than mere physical satisfaction.
Now, to criticize cheating men a bit...physical satisfaction is not everything and any one woman has many fascinating dimensions that are worth delving into....a strong healthy man realizes that. Also, honesty and loyalty show character.

[Edited 10/13/17 16:21pm] [Edited 10/13/17 16:23pm] Well I think if women operated as such we would have to shift everything. I think the reason we aren't is because we bear children and if the urge was that high we wouldn't tend to our young and would be willing to leave them unattended in order to answer our urge to orgasm. I think the urge maybe higher in males to make sure that the species continues ( not letting them off the hook with that because we do have big brains. But to answer your question if women could orgasm in 20 seconds would we be as faithful. Hmmmm I really don't know as a women there are many ways We arrive at the pleasure place. Gosh it really is a good question, I can't really answer. I hope some other ladies weight in. I guess the question is do men really want to be faithful. I can't answer that. I think that most women do. But of course I could be wrong in that assumption. |

Prince would have only needed to watch one or two episodes in order to extract the essence
He seemed to have an unusual ability to rapidly understand emotional enviroments.
He would have watched popular culture, its obvious
but I doubt he has watched as many TV hours as we have.
He worked much more than he sat in a recliner spacing out in front of a TV..

No, Eddie M and Sheila E have the 1984-1986 purple connection, that is the strong chemistry.
If you watch any of the shows were they started performing together the band picks up on it and the audience get's it too.
Eddie M is/was married and has a daughter |

Sheila E must of started hearing the rumors and during Erotic City a few years ago started stressing certain parts very loud.
.
All of my purple life
I've been looking for A MAN!!
That would want to be MY MAN!!
.
She should just not sing that part, let Eddie M sing it
It takes away from the sultriness of the song

I've been looking for a Dame
That would want to be my wife...
.
Eddie should sing it instead of Sheila changing the words to prove something
A MAN and MY MAN do not work poetically in the song

You wake up this in not 1984- 86. Where you upset when Prince changed "Dynasty" to "Sex In The City" in the song Kiss.
Times change stop living in the past. Sheila is taking the lead on the song and she feels like singing about looking for a dude. Get over it. |

The lyrics she sings now are actually "I've been looking for a man, that would want to be my husband". She isn't trying to prove anything in my opinion, she is just changing the lyrics to a woman's perspective.
And she also changes the more risque lyrics in the verse (she sings "I just want your pretty eyes") as she feels uncomfortable (understandably) singing the original lyrics. Salt n' Pepa have changed the lyrics to "Whatta Man" too when they perform it now, if artists feel uncomfortable about the original lyrics to a song, I don't see why they can't change them in a live setting. As long as they don't rewrite history on actual remasters Just like the white winged dove... |
