Per the article itself, I'm pretty sure that the only story with her in the liner notes isn't the kitchen one. Lisa has the story about them singing on "Baby, I'm a Star." She should have been credited more clearly, but she wasn't credited properly on the original release, either. I'd blame WB for that one.

Jill has said "Fuck WB" on her website so she blames them as well. It feeds into the whitewashing and it is being noticed by the fanbase.

But hopefully in the future a PR box set of music, included more thurough credits and information A little talk with Prince is needed

It looks like this article is gaining momentum as Andre Cymone just shared a link to it on Facebook too. Baby, you're a star.

Why is she bringing skin color into it. The article states nothing about skin color.
OUt of the entire article, this is all it has to say about JJ.

I just hope(d) hope she would just communicate privately and legally.

Doesn't help her brand there are a few too many 'fans' who flock to certain people because they like to see them angry or riled up. That is not love. Encouraging that is not love and it is not healthy for the soul mind or body. I does help on the business side

I want to like Lisa, I want to like Wendy, I want to like Mayte, I want to like all of P's associates but some of these people make it very hard. Credit needs to be properly given to those who contributed to any part of his personal or professional life, whether the other person likes it or not. Throwing people under the bus to make one look more important or better is childish and all of this is coming from people who are middle age. “That’s it” - Prince

I believe all of them are still in a weird grieving stage. People should reach out to each other intimately, not cyberly(can that be a word) swirl of everything good and bad of his death.

It doesn't matter whether fans choose to "like" them or not. They're people just like us. If some of us think it's "complicated" to like people from afar, it means shit in comparison to the complexities of the real relationships each individual shared with him.

I think it's time for everybody (former girlfriends, former band members) to let the bitterness go.Time to move on.It's not healthy to carry around all of these bad thoughts. No more angry social media posts! I don't think that Prince would want everyone to be feuding with each other.

I LOVE JILL. She is like a beautiful version of Madea. She keeps it real and puts perpetrators in their place.

My point is I want to like them enough to hear their perspectives. However, bashing one another doesn't give opportunity for that to occur. I want the truth to the best of their knowledge. If accounts are not clear, concise or honestly conveyed, than I would rather them not speak on it at all. [Edited 8/22/17 19:09pm] “That’s it” - Prince

I've always been a Jill fan but one day she's all chill and zen, and the next she's "going in" and playing the race card. I kinda feel bad for her that she's almost always on the defensive. There are about 50 people on this planet who still care which associated artist co-wrote or sang backup on some obscure unreleased track. A few decades from now there will be zero. Also, it speaks volumes that Wendy, Lisa, Mayte and Sheila continue to take the high road no matter how much crap is slung their way. Others need to get a grip and keep shit in perspective. We must remember how many semnal artists got their start playing with Miles Davis. Im not equating associates with all of Miles Davis' former players, but I'm also not denying it. Its funny how people want to say sometimes how some band members were seminal in their part of building his empire with musicianship, ideas etc. But not with some others. "Climb in my fur."

Wendy talked about being bitter in that documentary, she wasn't hiding it and she wasn't saying it's a good thing, she was being honest. Yeah she's bitter about a few things and thankful for others, she's human. [Edited 8/23/17 4:16am]

You need to take your race card nonsense somewhere else. Black associates in the Prince world have been getting crap on this board for years. It does not matter if two people in the world care people should be credited for their work and other people should not be telling tall tales ( they introduced him to jazz when he dad was a jazz musician). Condesending as hell thing to say.
If W&L were around then they know Jill's contributions and in no way should they have asked that she be kept away from them at the celebrations which in the end resulted in her not being welcomed at all to the celebration events at Paisley Park. The last time I looked that was Prince's place and his name and music generates the income not the Revolution. They are line steppers and someone has to tell line steppers when they are going to far.
If you have a problem with people speaking up for themselves that tells us more about you then them.

What the fuck is she bitter about? She was a nobody that Prince put front in center in his band. Who gets a chance like that? It is her fault if she was not smart enought to milk it and run with it.
Damm look at Sheila E or Morris Day. They got their shot and have never stopped working it.
