Interesting. Maybe a working out of details? Maybe something unreleased coming, an album? final concert? A book? But whom would have finished writing it, unless he actually did finish it and left instruction of when it could come out.

I'm not sure that holds a lot of water, though. It's a hopeful assumption but is probably not true. He had not written that many pages, in ratio to the usual 280-300 pages. Who's going to finish it? How accurate would it be?

Londel said something about Emancipation 2 or whatever recently, and Tyka echoed the same "surprise coming" at that time, then now. I'm not sure what that means. I doubt it's a sequel to the album. It could be another 3-disk set. It could be more music set free. Is it a video of the Emancipation concert? The questions persist, but we'll know soon enough.

As much as I'd love to see Prince's autobiography, I truly believe that the surprise is not that. It seems a bit too soon anyway. Music coming out is what seems to be a good nod to his legacy at this point. The memoir, perhaps filled in by those around him who were mentioned in the story (similar to what Motley Crue did when they wrote a book, or how I Want My MTV and VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV's First Wave were formatted) would be a good way to approach it over time.

Okay, lastdecember, you win...that's the best guess yet in my opinion. However, I'm willing to buy whatever they publish of The Beautiful Ones. I don't care if it's 50 pages or the finished product, I want to hear about Prince's life from Prince.
