Two people involved in PP museum were Kirk Johnson (probably closer to Prince than anyone) and Trevor Guy, who ran NPG Records since 2013 and was involved in public relations, merchandising and tour and even production for Prince and NPG/3rdEye Girl. I have no doubt that PP will change and evolve over time. It bothers me when people compare it to Graceland; the guy running PP now is a huge Prince fan and has been very clear that the goal is NOT to turn PP into Graceland. THe interviewer asked her opinion and she gave it
I think her ideas were good and valid and in the spirit of what I think of when I think of Prince Festive, musical atmosphere full the arts and a place to learn and master music I get that and it is in the spirit of who Prince was at the end. It is not a bash just an opinion and I liked she shared it and it makes sense.

I havent heard the interview and I hope to get around to this week. But a couple of people who heard it said Jill complained about the Revolution or other associates not including everyone.
Why she is still bother by Revolution (the 1983 to 1986 members) not including her? Apparently they gave her a message loud and clear so she needed to accept that and create her own path.
Jill if you are reading this, you are a party creater not a guest and if your interview has gotten a lot of downloads that tells you right there you don't need the Revolution to shine, lady, because you already shining with your own merits. So create that party and you can sing the songs off of her 1987 album and plus the songs you sang with Prince like Hello, Wednesday, and She is Always In My Hair and find another backup band who can perform them on your behalf. Stop trying to be include where places where apparently people don't want you, who cares? Create your own party and invited people. I am not saying this in a mean way. You are beautiful and have confidence and you are more than a backup singer and more than just a ghost singer.
If that festival ever happens she could easily be part of it and sang solos. Her voice is better than some of the Revolution members anyway and her talented speaks for itself.

And this time she told her truth eloquently. I too have a renewed respect for Jill and I absolutely appreciate anyone who says what they mean, mean what they say and stand firm in their word as they walk in their talk!!! I have been down with Prince since 1982 and while I wasn't particularly enthralled with 3rd Eye Girl, I actually like them the least of all the backing bands, I would've much rather seen The Revolution embrace them as well as previous NPG members over Qwest, Princess, Bilal, and even Mayte, Appollonia and Manuela. At the end of the day Prince was music and I personally feel that's where the focus should be! Juat play that funky music…💜 I gotta stand up in it kinda personality...

They already said that they want to have live acts perform there and that they would like to use the other studios as commercial studios. She needs to relax and realize that Prince wanted to go in this direction.

Exactly it was his idea to do this and frankly he was not getting any younger and with music sales in decline this was a good idea. In addtion, they have said they have plans to do other things she needs to give it time. Some activity has to go on that will bring in revenue so other activities can occurr a the venue.
I know a lot of older black people cannot stand Elvis and a lot of this hate toward the Graceland people is based on that but this company is not the original Graceland manangement and they found a guy to run it who is a huge fan so that gives me hope. If it only last long enought to get the estate straight that is fine as well.

They're running PP because they have experience in doing this kind of thing, not because they want to turn PP into Elvis's Graceland. Of course it's easy for people on the outside looking in to spill tea and throw shade and all that and pass it off as being the real deal because they weren't some yes man getting a paycheck from Prince. But if these people really are concerned that Prince's legacy is being tarnished then stop sniping from the sidelines and try and do something about it. I noticed Apollonia, Damaris Lewis, Andy Allo and Van Jones all posted something on social media about the official tribute concert. Shelby J. was at PP meeting fans and comforting some who were quite emotional during the tour. Jill (and Sheila) could learn a thing or two about what real class is IMO. Paisley Park is in your heart

Demaris told TMZ it was too soon 🔜 to open PP which is only her opinion which she is entitled to have so is she now too hating? Even though I look forward to reading Madhouseman's book because it is based solely on the recording sessions, I wonder what's left to be said about the first decade. I mean yeah, there's always the new anecdote that is delightful to read (as when Paul recently revealed P did the wracka stow trick with him), but overall those years have been covered to death. I'd be waaay more interested in Prince's later years, which are much less documented (how many anecdotes do we even have about how the songs on D&P were created, for example?), almost not at all after 1995. I think a lot of those years were only lightly covered. For example, we've only had a touch of the Time ie Morris Day Prince etc sessions. And we really don't know much about the Sheila E studio sessions/behind the scenes stuff
But I want to hear some stuff the 1990 period Rainbow Children too

True. IDK Y The Family and 8 were super-covered and the other side-projects much less. Still we know much more about those than about anything post 1987. I haven't read all the recent books yet, though, maybe they tell more? A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

She's certainly free to express her opionon, but I don't think she has any particularly unique insight on this topic. - I do like her idea of a annual festival focused on the here-and-now of making music. That could be cool.
