Susan Rogers, New Hits Package, Unreleased Music Coming...

So Londell tweeted Bremer Trust has contacted Susan Rogers and said that unreleased music should be released by next year and a new Hits package should be released by the end of this year...

I'm sensing the good old commercial "Greatest Hits, including 3 new unreleased tracks" to make all the fans buy it all over again.

I'm glad Susan is on board, but if they are rushing out some unreleased tracks, I worry for the legacy planning in regards to the anthology of work.

Another greatest hits is unnecessary since we already have a few hits albums but it's nice to see that we might get unreleased music as early as next year smile

The new hits package could be for the later years and unreleased music coming soon sounds good to me.

a greatest hits package makes sense. to spark interest and new fans but remember, since the hits/bsides he's had like 20 more years worth of music to add to that package. i'm for it.

It's been suggested elsewhere that this comp will include material from the post Warner years as well. We haven't have a truly comprehensive set before, so that would be nice to see.

If they add music from 94 onward then I'm fine with a new greatest hits , also nice if they throw in a few unreleased tracks

As far as I know there isn't a greatest hits album that includes his entire career. So that would be new and would be welcome.

Just what we need - another disk of "Kiss", "When Doves Cry", "Let's Go Crazy", and "Little Red Corvette".

The Hits. Ultimate. Very Best Of.

Enough. We got it. Let's do something interesting here.

There is a disc (11 tracks) of 12 inch versions as part of "Prince - Ultimate" http://www.princevault.co...:_Ultimate

But do we have one that also includes post WB stuff? Having D&P but not TMBGITW on a greatest hits album is nuts.

I wouldn't have thought a hits package even including post Warners stuff would have any interest for us orgers.

The only hits packing i ever got was the first one due to the third disc.

I guess the unreleased music would take a little longer to put together.

It will be a standard hits package with Moonbeam Levels and Prince's version of Nothing Compares thrown in. Susan Rogers mentions those two for a reason.
