He's the one calling the shots and decides who he wants to play in his band, which isn't the decision of any fan, regardless of their opinion or how they may feel about the decision he makes, in relation to hiring bandmembers whose talents he's pleased with, and inviting/hiring them to perform/share the stage with him.

It's great to see Prince promoting other musicians'/artists'singers' talents, so unselfishly and letting them shine on stage with him, while learning from him at the same time. I wish all his bandmembers the best with their music careers and their time with him.
