In all this conversation, I keep thinking the same thing. Prince will never have a permanent woman. He loves himself too much to share his life with
anyone. He'll simply never change.

Right! And it is lunacy to think other. Really really dumb. You are setting YOURSELF for a huge heartache and total humiliation.

confused Yes, maybe he will never change. But what if he already changed? Maybe he and Bria are really happy the way they handle their relationship. Maybe he recognized that it is the best to be absolutely privat about his love life, private like he never was before, so private that you hide your own girlfriend.

Planet Earth was made in 06, right? If they are together since then.. I have to say, congratulations! A long time. It's still an unusual couple imo but maybe that's why it will last long.

It is becoming clear to my slow azz that this is really an A and B conversation. The rest of the chatter is just filler. There are 2 distinct parties with an agenda. The rest of us don't really matter.

I guess I will C my way out of this one

I will say this and I'm sure there are some who don't want to hear this. This whole dialogue is entertaining to us in the org. Unfortunately it will be at your expense. Know this too. Boys (and yes, later on men too) love to see a cat fight. I believe this dialogue is entertaining and ego stroking for "Others" (the man and his "boyz" )as well. Maintain your dignity ladies. Don't give a show.

I never took it serious . I just came to the org for informations and to have some fun and not to be THAT serious and to show that I can give the best analyses of a relationship or that I'm a wise-guy.

I can't understand some orgers. neutral Why hurting other orgers? For what reason? confused

That's SO HARSH to say!!! Anyone can change. I'm shocked at how many people think he is such a horrible person inside. eek He comes across to me as a such a nice person...he's had it hard, that is why he is defensive and yeah he has some vanity issues, but he doesn't come across as evil, spiteful, etc.

I don't see how anyone can hear Prince say some of the things he's said and not just want to reach out and hug him and just love him. Everytime I see him talk about being ridiculed as a child for his size, I can't help but cry! Add that to his family life, this man went through the ringer. His only out was music...which is why he puts so much effort into it. It was the only thing that made him happy and gave him some relief for pain.

And listen at how people talked badly about him until they saw how good of a musician he was, that was when people gave him respect and adoration, so of course its what he uses to get respect and love..That's all he knows. Sadly, no one has cared enough to show him genuine love for who he is inside. Notice all the women that have been in his life have wanted fame too, they were more interested in his career and money, than him.

I remember one of the things that he said that was revealed during the lovesexy days, that he is controlling because he is afraid everyone will leave him and then he will be left alone. How can that NOT just love him to pieces after hearing this? My heart goes out to him...

Instead of criticizing him, we should be trying to understand why he is the way he is. For pete's sake..his dad told him to never get married! That kind of crap messes a kid up! Criticism is not the way to win him, love will be the only thing to win him over. Prince needs unconditional love...

not true. he has definitely been shown that. 52 yea rold men have no excuse, no matter how many we'd like to use to 'understand' why he is the way he is, there is no excuse.

people on the whole, are supposed to mature. he refuses to. he wants his cake and he wants to eat it too. there's plenty of evidence of that right to this very day.

His only out was music...which is why he puts so much effort into it. It was the only thing that made him happy and gave him some relief for pain.

and he just passes that pain unto those women who offered him love in return by his betrayal, time and time again.

I don't believe that Mani wanted fame. She wanted a man. Plain and simple. She graduated from college, then went to US to get her man.

Mayte wanted a career... and Prince wanted her to have a career. He really supported and nurtured her career ambitions. But if she had to pick career or love and family with Prince... I think she really wanted the marriage. She said in her interview she never thought she would be divorced. She thought marriage was forever. Her parents have been married forever. She was raised as a catholic (I thought I read that). She wanted the marriage and she loved him.

I remember one of the things that he said that was revealed during the lovesexy days, that he is controlling because he is afraid everyone will leave him and then he will be left alone. How can that NOT just love him to pieces after hearing this? My heart goes out to him...

His daddy gave him sound advice. he should have listened. His mother and father had big fights and then divorced acrimoniously. his daddy was a ladies man... so one can only wonder why.

Not everyone needs to be married... to PROMISE to love and cherish one person AND NO ONE ELSE. You can have love without that promise. Maybe Prince (and a lot of other men) should stop making a mockery of the vows of marriage (vows before God) and be upfront and honest.

Believe me, Prince with his charisma, fame and money, he can find a load of women beautiful who would gladly spend some time with without the deceitful marriage vows. George Clooney is doing just that and does it well.

Perhaps he has given that pain to those women when he realizes "they fooled him and used him?" Perhaps. I too don't believe Mani was after money...I think she generally cared for him. She is the only woman I can honestly say I believe that about.

Telling a child to not to get married isn't the way to teach them about family and the importance of marriage. How about telling them the right way a man should be and the importance of those vows? The importance of talking through problems, instead of being violent?

Prince and his fame/money are doing just fine getting beauties to spend time with him. But that ain't what he wants... he wants love, he just don't have a clue how to get it. No one wants to be used for their money and fame. They want to be loved for what's in their heart..Prince is no exception. And sure, he can find love without marriage, but its obvious he wants that family life.

Use discretion. Naivety is at once very wonderful and very dangerous. It is one thing to be empathetic, it is another to let that excuse inexcusable behavior of a very grown 52 year old man who is very well aware of his actions, & intentions. Prince knows who he is, he is not a baby. He is a grown man who is responsible for what he does and says. That is what separates an adult from a child.

Be careful who you let this caring heart of yours feel "understanding" towards. There are bad people in the world who will have no mercy for your vulnerability and will quickly take advantage of your naivety. hug

Also as stated he is 52 and he has who he wants in his life. It's his life and he lives it the way he wants. I think he knows how to remove someone he doesn't have need for. It's plain to see Bria is there because he wants her there.

Huh? Since when does saying "stop being mean and try being understanding" equate that (1) I want to give anything to Prince? (2) I am looking for another man to give anything to? (3) That I don't already have someone to give love/understanding to? Assumptions are NEVER good.

There is no mistake in teaching the next generation compassion and understanding. Perhaps if more people had that in their hearts we'd be alot better off in the world! And the only person qualified to call a relationship choice a mistake are the people involved in it.

Prince is GORGEOUS. I'm inspired. GOD is GREAT. Is there anything else to say? lol

You call it naive....I call it caring, understanding, empathy. Those are things I'd like people to feel for me if I were ever in Prince's position. And when you have loved ones or you yourself have went through some of the same things he went through, then you see things totally differently!

There are bad people in the world who will have no mercy for your vulnerability and will quickly take advantage of your naivety. hug

hug Great advice. But remember, understanding and compassionate doesn't automatically mean you're a doormat! wink People that are compassionate and understanding make great teachers, nurses, daycare workers...And I'd bet most people would list those 2 characteristics pretty high up on the list when writing down desireable qualities in a potential mate.razz Just a thought...

hmm lemme see, would i want a potential mate to have compassion for me? absolutely not lol

how patronizing that would be, like i'm lost and forlorn or something, and need compassion.

i'd be grossly turned off if a love interest felt that way about me.

but i find it interesting that you mention teachers, nurses and daycare workers.

maybe thats what prince really needs lol

"prince darling its time to change ur diaper. roll over sweetheart. thats it. now sit. good boy! now beg. good dog!." comfort

this too shall pass

Hey Ladies,

I really was enlightened by "Woman who love too much" by Robin Norwood.

Just don't rescue any man. No matter if it is Prince or any man. You will become unhappy.

And the book "Stalking the Soul" by Helene Hirigoyen has been a life saver for me. I allways was making excuses for the man I was with. Untill I read that book. It opened my eyes.

If you only read one book in a decade, girls, I advise you to read "stalking the soul".

I don't think that many people really care about Bria. Not that many different people are writing on this subject. Many people read it though. And probably just have their suspections and laugh about it all. I saw Brenda in the back, moving about among the audiance in Antwerp and she was in full admiration of Prince. She had this adoration expression on her face. She seemed a very friendly girl to me. And if she's happy with a relationship that is based on her admiration of Prince and accepting everything he does, that is her choice. If she wants to believe that this time, with her, it will be different. She'll want to belief that he will change because of her. She wants to believe that he is older now and is very different person than he was before.

She'll want to buy into that princess story. I can only send her love and hope the best for her. Same with Prince.

And one never knows. They might grow old togehter.....to whom does it really matter what they do?

99% of my posts are ironic. Maybe this post sides with the other 1%.
