Just saw it the other day. I found it to be both entertaining and disturbing. I liked seeing the different characters and the acting was good from all of the cast. I was uncomfortable with how death and murder are treated so trivially though. The weakness of the female characters was also frustrating, but also realistic given the situation/plot.

Interestingly enough, Vanity plays a hooker and the gf of 1 of the bad guys, played by Clarence Williams III. Surely some of you know he played Prince's father in Purple Rain, the movie Vanity walked out of

Vanity doesn't have a ton of scenes, but she plays her character pretty convincingly I'm not gonna give away the details for those of you who haven't seen it, but if you're a Vanity fan, I would check this film out. It's a shame she didn't get more roles in feature films. She was never the best actress, but then again many of the most famous actors/actresses aren't the most talented. Vanity had good reviews in both 52 Pick-Up and Action Jackson, but after 1988 she was relegated to made-for-tv movies, guest appearances on tv shows, and straight-to-video movies.

I don't remember the movie at all. I remember her stripping down and showing her boobies in front of Roy Scheider, but that's about it.

I just watched 52 Pick Up 2 nites ago. Though the movie is odd, VANITY offers a most fascinating screen presence in the film.

Vanity is a remarkable movie star, stealing the show with a supporting role. Vanity owns her movies like Janet owned the superbowl.


I think it is a shame that Vanity wasn't able to do more with her acting career. Her beauty remains unmatched, and her acting talent was superb.

I thought 52 Pick-Up was a pretty good thriller. Vanity's part could have been played by any of a number of drugged-out skanks. But her titties looked great.

I only saw it once on TV and haven't seen it in years but I loved it. I'd love to see it again.

yeah some here might be surprised to hear this, but Vanity was actually right in the thick of things in hollywood during her day. There were several moments in her career when she was on the cusp of something big that for 1 reason or another didn't happen. For example she was up for a role in Martin Scorsese's The Last Temptation Of Christ.

She was good in "Action Jackson," too. Vanity was a very good actress. Such a shame she got strung out because she could have had a decent career. I once read that Martin Scorsese was interested in casting her in one of his films years ago.

I have 52 pickup and Action Jackson on VHS.Vanity was good in both movies. Ialso have another movie where Vanity is playing a government secret agent, but i can't remember the name ofthe movie.She was good in that movie too.
