Funny, when I wrote to Mayte on her now lost facebook account (or was it myspace? she was very nice and answered questions without being catty or "hollywood".
she honestly seems like a very nice young woman. And I especially give her props for being an animal lover. And I don't mean like Paris Hilton pet owner... one of Mayte's dogs is a larger breed. That means, having to walk the dog, probably clean up after it, brush it and have dog slobber all over you.

How can you be fake and have pets like that? She seems genuine to me.

Mani on the other hand seems more prissy. you know what I mean? Not knocking it... different strokes for different folks.

Not prissy in that way. I mean I can't see Mani wearing cut off/ripped jeans and t-shirt or just hanging out with the crew/family. She seems more of the art gallery type opening type. Not saying one is better than the other. I would feel more comfortable hanging out with Mayte than Mani. With Mayte, it would be just having fun etc. With Mani I would be standing there talking and wondering in the back of my mind, "is my slip showing? Do I have a run in my stockings..." etc. Mani seems more prissy. And I think it has to do with upbringing. I don't know but I would imagine that Mani's family is more prissy as well. Mayte was an army brat. Nothing pirssy about here.

That seems to be the point of the thread, that they have NOT completely moved on. It reminds me of cheerleaders who loved high school and their later life does not live up to those "glory days". I think that, although THEY WERE THE ONES TO FILE FOR DIVORCE, they still miss a great deal of the A list life. Living with him had to be an experience that only another lover of his would understand. I mean Mani pursued him to the extreme and when she left him she didn't look back.

Another reason that they might be friends is that they can't talk to too many people without fear of it leaking to the press and Mr.Litigation coming after them. They can talk all they want to eachother and maybe laugh about it. Still think it's big of Mayte to befriend a woman who stole her man after she lost her first and only child.


Anyway, I don't think any of Prince's women Since Susannah, have brought much to the table except very high cheekbones and a love of subordination and puppydog admiration for Prince. In the end they get sick of being Prince's pretty lapdog. I bet they all end up with ALOT more money than that Kloe K will get from Lamar.


He should have stayed with Susannah. She had the same music genes and she seemed into the man and not the money and the perks. He truly messed up there. Most of his best lyrics were written in his Susannah years. Now he has got Bria. Exactly how much further down the totem pole can he go???? I hope he marries Bria because I'm frightened to see what the next one will be like.

There's no evidence that these two women are friends. Attending the same event does not equate friendship. Ya'll trippin'.

I hope people realize a Facebook 'add' does not equate a real-life friendship. They certainly do not spend time talking together about thier ex husband. Would you?
