And she looks great. Not that everytime a woman pops on the screen we have to make a judgemet or comment about her looks. People do this shit online with Michelle Obama, too. Who care's if she's pretty or not? Smart women with talent and brains... See that!

looking forward to the cd - a lot. Have heard some of it on the live broadcasts and it is simply amazing work. The sort of soul music I thought no one did anymore. At least to this level of craftsmanship and artistry.

Glad to see them working hard and trying to get things together. Don't worry, Uncle JellyBean will be there.

Massive oversight leaving out mention of Eric Leeds in the bio. Glossing over the fact that Prince wrote/performed/produced The Family LP can sorta be overlooked, considering the focus is on the new project. Weberviews can be so flimsy, though.

Still, I can not wait for this new CD to drop.

True but any publicity is good. Eric is def part of the project since one of the instrumentals is called "Leed Lines". Bean is onboard too. Jerome, not sure. He's doing Time stuff as well, so who knows where he'll land.

How can the interviewer not ask any Prince-related questions considering he wrote (performed) most of their material? Also, has anyone ever read an interview with Susannah where she comments on her relationship with Prince?

And I think Susannah looks incredible.

Susannah, Paul, and the fans have agreed that his project is SO beyond that stuff. Susannah is married with children, as is Paul. Why would she want to talk about old boyfriends, even if it was Prince? It was just SO long ago. And we know Prince did all the songs, sans one, so what question is there to ask exactly on that subject?

Oh, come on...there would be no questions, no interview, without Prince's musical contribution to their sound. What about purely musical questions. The unique barouque funk/jazz sound to their original album (Parade/Madhouse influences). Their opinions on the Sinead O'Connor version of the P-penned Family song. What about any outreach to P with the new project. Any possible further musical collaborations with P. They share Prince's new musical independence and business model-what about some questions about that link.

There are so many areas to explore but it's bizarre not to have at least one Prince reference in an article about a band that was basically his voice.

while i'm not a big fan of interviewers focusing on the Prince-connection when interviewing former proteges/collaborators, i think it at least needs to be addressed. in most cases, it's the only reason anyone knows their name or why anyone would want to read the interview or find out what they're up to now.

i only get irritated when you can tell that they asked them 100 questions so that they could get in those 25 or so that have to do with Prince and then they only print/air about 30 of them and all 25 of the Prince ones are there. you don't want to waste the reader's time, but you also don't want to waste the time of the interviewee's time by just printing the Prince stuff either.

i've noticed this with the plethora of recent interviews Wendy & Lisa have done. fortunately, they don't seem to mind it any more and they're very open and honest and funny about it.

What about it?

And here are their answers from past Q&A's with fans in recent weeks, but I am not speaking FOR them. I'm quoting them based on the same questions asked in the past.
Their opinions on the Sinead O'Connor version of the P-penned Family song.

They said it was a good cover.

What about any outreach to P with the new project. Any possible further musical collaborations with P.

Paul has said they should just sit w/ Prince and settle anything from the past, and have him be a part of the project. However Prince has even put the brakes on them using "The Family" moniker, which is why they are using Family 2.0, for now. They are not sure if that will be the final name of the group. Of course others have suggested Family Reunion, Family Album, or just Family. Prince participating in the project is about 0% at this point. Susannah said fans would probably love to hear her say "yes" to having a Prince song on the album, but in fact, it boils down to if she really felt in her heart of hearts that the song would work on hte album. Just to have a Prince song for the sake of it, or for the sales factor isn't what they're looking for. It'd have to be organic to the project, part of it, not some random branch stemming out on its own.

They share Prince's new musical independence and business model-what about some questions about that link.

They're both independent. The Family 2.0 will be releasing this CD on their own and are depending on word of mouth and any local street team to help spread the word. I'm not sure if they'll use venues like CDbaby.com or what for the actual distribution. I hope it pops up on CDbaby, iTunes, and other independent outlets.

Exactly. Making note of the connection isn't something the Family is opposed to. They are fully aware of the love fans have for that album, and it's why they're doing a second, for the fans.

I love that W&L have went off on a funny tangent about things and said cute things like "fancy lesbian" or whatever. Thankfully people aren't asking the same "What was it like to work with Prince?" questions. People can only answer that question so many times.

I tried to hold out the olive branch, but I guess i'm not worth anyone's forgiveness. hopefully, i will never make the mistake of saying mean things. However, i wouldn't say anything mean about someone that I wouldn't say about myself. I'm ugly, okay??? i'm 5'3", thirty pounds overweight (which looks like sixty on someone my heighth), and i've inherited my father's shitty looks. I'm not as evil as i am being portrayed.

I LOVED The Family's version of nothing compares 2 u, but I believe sinead knocked it out of the freaking ball park. If she wouldn't have started going a tad crazy (ripping a picture of the pope, etc.), she might still be relevant.

Unless you're that nerdy fan/self appointed spokesperson for the 'band' (let's face it, Prince WAS the band, they just lent some vocals to one of his side-projects), then why give a crap about this? The one true ingredient that made The Family album worthy isn't involved with this desperate attempt reclaim some former half-lived glory.

It'd be like a Time album without any Prince involvement. Apart from 3 or 4 fanatics, who'd give a flying fuck??

Without Prince's involvement, it simply ain't a Family album. Simple maths: No Prince-penned songs + No Prince music\direction = No Point!

Move on...

Rude comments is why some of former Prince associates left the org or refused to come here, and while some of them preferred Housequake when it was still around because those comments was not tolerated. Did ya momma told you if you dont have nothing nice to say not say anything at all? Susannah looks damn good for being 45 much better looking than some of the 25 ppl or ppl who are around my age under 30. Paul is fine too and he is fitted and sexy. They have chemistry and admired each other. Some of Yall better be on your best behavior when Wendy/Lisa comes on the org doing their first interview here or you will answer to me.

But anyhoo I cant wait until the Family released their album. Looong overdo. I am looking forward to their tour and I hope they get something work out. I also hope some of their more well-known fans participate that would help W/L and the Family gain further exposure.
