I wonder because you were entered into the arts as wee ones pretty much
because of your family has this helped your view points on music or does the knowlege you both have change how you look at your products or did you feel you needed to d 120% to get noticed like siblings from a big family you feel loved but you need to find your self to be happy

What do the both of you feel was your biggest contribution to Prince and his development as a musicia? Likewise, what was his biggest influence on you?

Did both of you join www.lotusflow3r.com and pay $77.00 for the fee, do you believe the content available is worth the fee? What is your favorite artist website besides yours? Whatever happened to the Purple Rain Movie outtakes? The barn scene? The Prince fight? Is Prince a better artist now in 2009 then he was in 1984?

What was it like recording "All My Dreams"? Sounds like it was a great session! "Lisa, I'm gonna give U the brush and U're gonna paint the side of the train."
Do you wish The Dream Factory would have been released?

1) I love the song "I'm In Love Again" from the aborted Friendly Fire project with Trevor Horn. Will any of these songs every see the light of day?
2) Can you please describe how the song "No Light In A Large Room" came about? 3) You both are accomplished and successful musicians in your own right. Do either of you get frustrated by the questions regarding Prince in every interview? 4) What artists do you currently listen to? 5) Wendy, you played bass on Sananda Maitreya's (formerly Terrence Trent D'arby) song called "Sweetness". How did that come about? 6) Who is playing bass on the unreleased song "In All My Dreams"? Brown Mark, Prince, or maybe even Wendy? 7) Have you ever heard of the duo Lady & Bird? Their style is similar to yours. 8) Wendy, you played "Reflection" with Prince on the Tavis Smiley show. How long did it take for you to learn the song? 9) Lastly thanks for taking questions from the org. I have all of your CD's. "I've Got A Big Bowl Of Cherrie's" is my favorite song from you two by the way, but "You and I" from your latest CD is about to replace it! [Edited 5/13/09 22:17pm]

Having toured with Prince, an artist with such an extensive back catalogue, can you give any insight as to how setlists are arrived at and how much influence/input can/do band members have on any given night?

Hi Lisa Hi Wendy
What a treat it is to be able to ask you'all a question. The music you made with Prince in the 80’s have given me a lifetime of enjoyment. Thank you! I believe wholeheartedly, that you two were extremely instrumental (cough...pun intended lol) in providing Prince the environment necessary to produce the music we all now look back on as his most creative. Do you feel that way too and does the company Prince keeps play a Major or Minor role in the music he creates at any given time or is everybody just along for the ride that is "Prince"? Thanks so much again for the time spent answering questions and best wish to you both. Sincerely, Brian Louisville, KY [Edited 5/14/09 6:29am] Soaked in Banana Cologne, No Wonder U're All Alone

Thank you so much for taking our questions! We love you both and your work!
Here are my questions: 1)I love what you have done with Hero's, in fact, I loved the scores before I even knew it was the two of you! Do you have plans for any other television or film scores? 2)This question may be a little personal, but when was the first time you realized that you were attracted to the same sex? How did your family react? 3)In the video Kiss,Wendy turns away when Prince sings in her face. Wendy, did Prince have bad breath that day? That is the expression on your face. 4)Wendy, I saw you at the Minneapolis Target Center playing with Prince, in fact before you went on the second time you were standing right next to me and seemed to be enjoying yourself. Do you miss it(playing with Prince)? More importantly, did Prince pay you for the gig? Wake up!......Wake up!

Question: On a number of fronts you two have been trailblazers without actively declaring yourself so -- as women (and Lesbians) in total control of your artistic output, as artists who've worked both inside and outside the graces of chart success and major label support, as traditionally bred composers and musicians in an increasingly sampled, airbrushed and otherwise manufactured industry. What of this has been the most challenging to you over the years? What has changed for the better? For the worse? And what would like to see that hasn't yet happened in the industry? Thank you for taking our questions! So nice! If Prince were to invite both of you on tour and ask you to pick the rest of the musicians - who would you pick and why?
Also, Waterfall is one of my favorite songs. What inspired it? Thanks again!!

1.) When you're writing a song do you write lyrics first and then set them to music or write music first and then put words to it?
2.) Does Prince send you copies of his new music or, assuming you want to hear it, do you have to go to Target like the rest of us? 3.) With a possible summer tour in the works, is there any chance you would play Market Days in Chicago the first weekend of August?

I have always been fascinated with film/tv scores. I am amazed when the music seems to just "fit" with the story. Some driving the narrative along, others a perfect, yet almost inaudible backdrop in the story. You both score so beautifully. Besides your own , what tv/film scores have you been impressed with?
Thank you! Candice ps...love WFOWC!!

This is no question but I have to tell you that: You two are too cool! And Wendy, I was always too shy to tell, but you were my teenage love! Ok and now I feel much better! Thanks. There is too much snow in Hollywood!

My questions:
- What "vault" material recorded during the prince years would you like to see released? - Do you regret not being part of the "sign o' the times" international tour? Can you explain why it was decided that you weren't? - The Purple Rain script suggested that Prince was reluctant to sing a composition of yours... can you tell us if that actually happened during those days where you may of suggested a song and he took a pass? If so which one(s)? Thanks,

White Flags Of Winter Chimneys has a 'tone of finality' to it, at least to my ears. Was this your intention in creating the album, and am I right to hear a Pink Floyd influence in the song "Red Bike"?

1. What do you think of the current state of play of the music industry? The rise of digital downloads - is it killing off the album?
2. When composing is it a lyric or a melody that triggers your compositions first? 3. what song have you heard and thought "damn, wish we wrote that?" (oh and it can be one you actually did but didn't get credit for ) 4. Does it ever blow your mind that your music and artistry can touch so many, from so many different place (Sydney, Australia here). 5. What song do you sing in the shower? 6. Is the water still warm enough? Swa "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"
