Lisa - you’re playing keyboards in the 1999 video. The second chord seems to have absolutely every note in it! What the heck?? Somebody please please tell me what the hell is wrong!

GirlBros - Some wacky things happen in Revolution songs... Like the middle section of Mountains, the strange chord changes in Christopher Tracy's Parade, and the weird constant key changes in Do U Lie. Who came up with these ideas? Do you think Prince really understood those things from a technical standpoint, did he just intuitively come up with them, or did they come from somebody else entirely? Do reveal!

Whats your favourite Post-Revolution Prince song..?

In 1992 on the Diamonds & Pearls Tour, one of the messages that Prince flashed up on the screens prior to the gigs was..."WENDY & LISA PHONE HOME".

Were you aware of that, and did you have any contact with him and that time, or around that time?

LISA: It has been said that Joni Mitchell is one of your major influences, if this is true, in what way? is it her writing? her musical composition? Explain.

LISA: My favorite songs are usually the ones that you have the lead vocal. Don't Try to Tell Me, tops this list and is very significant to me. Will you tell me the history of this song? why it was written?

BOTH: When are you coming back to Texas for a show? I would love to hear both old and new material. Is there a standard playlist of songs that you perform or do you mix it up a bit?

BOTH: How is motherhood for you? How has it affected your writing?

As a long time follower, I am familiar with your body of work as well as Prince's. I believe we can take Prince's career and segment it into periods. The 'rise' would of course be 1978 through 1982. The climax would be 1984's Purple Rain' but to many of us, it is the 1984-1988 period that puts him in his own stratosphere. I think many people today marvel at his abilities as a musician more than the most important thing which is the incredible unique mix up music he put out in this period. The 12" single extensions were more interesting than a lot of what he has done years since. I see him as a natural who needed the right people around him to guide him. I admire his vision and single-minded determination but the out put during those mid 80s years (both what was released and what are still out takes) is what truly separates him from most of his peers.

How much influence have you had on that period? Do you agree that this period is what stand out most in his recorded career?

Finally, do you think he's insulated himself so much in the last 15 years that he just does not know that his output is inferior to years ago? OR, do you believe he just continues to march to the beat of his own drummer.
