Hey People.

I went to see Lady T @ BB Kings last night and when I came down the stairs to where the box office was, there was Ms. Mia Bocca herself - Jill Jones. I said "Wow, are you Jill Jones and she said "yes i am". I told her that I loved her album and that I know she co-wrote Young girl in love with Teena. She smiled and said thank you.

She is a very calm and humble spirit. Lady Tee kept saying - My little sister is in the audience - Ms. Jill Jones.

It was a great show. I'm seeing her again on Friday in NJ.

first of all,

to going to a Teena Marie concert... as big a fan as I was of her (I had ALL of Teena's albums... every last one of them!)

But also meeting Jill

Damn. I was gonna go (just saw Miss Stephanie Mills there a month ago) but this show was like standing room....no tables.... and I didn't want to fight my way to the front. Plus I had seen Lady T last year in Bermuda (she turned it OUT!)

But now I missed Jill??? Was Jill just hanging out on the floor? Ticketmaster said there were not tables for this show.


I once spoke to Jill on the phone a few years back. My trainer was friends with her ex and she had called during my session and I was like "let me talk to Jill!" and she was very cool.

I ran into Jill at the box office section at the bottom of the stairs when you first come in. She was standing at the coat check line. I didn't see if she sat down or not when she walked inside. She probably did, because i surely did not see her standing with the people like I was. It really wasn't bad at all. There were people standing by the bar and in the standing room area. It wasn't too bad at all. I actually prefer that than sitting.

All in all, Jill was so humble and cool and very soft spoken and really, really thin too.

What does Jill jones look like? never seen her before? I would be interested to see a pic of her back in the day and NOW.

She actually quite petite in my opinion. You can tell she is a mixed woman. Here hair was in a lose ponytail and she looked very comfortable with jeans on. She didn't have make-up on. Very natural and pure how i knew it was her was the eyes. Very warm hypnotic eyes.
