I know that Cat's page is real and also Sheila E's myspace that was mentioned on here is real as well. Tamar's page is hers. Wendy and Lisa page even though its runs by Jesse, the girls actually contribute to the page and I might as well said it is real too.
The rest of them I am not so sure about. | |

Is the Apollonia one real?
Also, Sheila's site said a year ago that the various myspace pages on here were NOT affiliated with her, although I dont know if that refers to the new one.  |

Wow, thanks for the link. I tried to get added to the other page, but the person running it hasn't been on for quite some time. I'm glad Mayte has a real page. Too bad it's private, and she doesn't accept add requests from bands.  I have an artist page, and use it as a personal page. George Clinton is not a Prince associated artist. If anything, Prince is a George Clinton associated artist.
and...why in the hell would Mayte start and "offical" Mayte page and then set it to "private"?

Although I am no fan of hers, she still have the right to her privacy on myspace like everyone else, celeb or not. Hell, I know a couple of my fav celebrities have their pages private, and I don't like it either but they still have the right to be on myspace without worrying about their fans or some viewing their personal information whatever they put on there that they don't want the whole world to see. I don't know the actual reason why Mayte has her page private but whatever the reason she only wants the people that she knows view her page. | |

You mean to tell me you can't see the irony of an "official" page existing when "official" is almost NEVER used in instances of privacy but rather legitimacy? An official page set to private is unusual and sort of backwards thinking. Then again, she was married to Prince. If she wanted to be private, it makes much more sense to create two seperate identities - one "official" so that fans/fam/friends and so on could expect legitimacy and another id like "Ladyfingercymbals" or something where she can cruise MySpace in complete privacy. Am I the only one who sees the logic in this? I'm not trying to rob ol' girl of her privacy by any means. It comes off as attention-whoreish rather than "official". I see what you are saying but still I don't think that she comes off as "attention-whorish", besides it was the fans who found her myspace page and posting it on places (not her) just like they did of Prince's other associates. Maybe she stated official so her associates or family or any of her supporters would be aware that is her actual page in case they might search to see she have a myspace account, like I said due to myspace celebrity imposters. Some other celebrities too used official as their headline and still have their page private, I don't see unusual about it.  Also just because her page is private that doesn't mean that she won't accept requests of her fans who want to be on her network. Or then again, she doesn't want her fans on her network. But Mani have her page private too but she still added people from this site. If Mayte fans want to be on her network then all they have to do is email her. I don't think creating another account is neccessary when apparently she is satisfied with the one she already got that is private and apparently doesn't want thousands of people on there, and if she want to be anonymous why bother having a myspace account? Even if she went with that route just by having the people that she know on her network too, sooner or later the word would be out that she have a myspace account. | |

Likewise Mavis Staples. One I think of that I forgot was Robin Power, but she just scares me, so was probably in the back of my mind..lol. | |

Wow, I didn't realised Sheila E's page is private or you wouldnt see who is on her network. She just disable the comments or something, I think..... But I guess she doesn't want her fans on her network though. I mean she doesn't have that many people, and i am pretty sure some folks made request to get on her page whilst she had that page. Personally, I wouldn't have my page private because as an aspired young adult novelist myspace would be a good tool to promote and communicate and build a close-knitted relationship with the fans. who would be your customer for life as well with the proper respect. Too bad though that some celebs doesnt see it that way especially the ones who aren't big-time and needs myspace to expose their art. I was thinking about that movie Borat and how myspace had huge influence for that movie's success. But I understand why celebrities do that and it is because they want use the tool to communicate their friends, family, and associates without have to worry about their fans overshadowing their space.
