Hey, grants are grants, regardless of where they come from. The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

I'm usually not impressed by celebrity enterprises, but this actually sounds like good news. Cool product line name, packaging and marketing (and the fragrance combos seem wonderful!), and it's all for a great cause. I wish there were a couple more nice department stores where you could find the line, though.

G'on, girl! [Edited 7/21/06 9:13am] So you are only going to be interested in "the line" because it's Prince wife? You haven't even sampled the stuff yet and you're worrying about not being able to purchase it ... I can see it (mean, smell it) now.. All the sheep smelling the same

Mani's not even known anywhere outside the Prince world, I can't help thinking such efforts are merely ways to stay in the public eye post being Prince's wife. Everyone seems to be doing it, perhaps I should bring out some scented candles, 'the stink of metaloragne', smells vile but hey, it's for the kids. .. and you got it! Mani has no children but she's doing charity (her own at that) for children? It's like an animal activist going all out of their way to support animal rights but has not one pet Isn't Mani a Jehovahs Witness? If so; do we want JW teaching our children how to be "world leaders"?

HATE & SPECUALTION! How much CHARITY work do all of u Haters do? How much time do U give to the needy? Why don't u go and help at one of her Art Days or some other charity event and see for urself all the GOOD it does! Are u SO miserable that u have to cut down others folx GOOD deeds! From what I see she has a HUGE heart and she is sharing it with the children in NEED...she is NOT out buying new Bling to wear on a beltbuckle or getting diamonds inlaid in her teeth! Give the women a BREAK! If I had posted that I was doing this fragrance line and more than 1/2 the proceeds were going to the kids, U would be applauding me...so why u trying to rip her to shreds, just because she IS Prince's wife?? Sorry, I just don't understand why some folx are happy to believe Bad (even if it's wrong) than to believe in the Good! Good people REALLY do Exist!

Mani we need more human beings like you in the world! The children are our future and that is the most valuable asset we can instill our love and wealth in. God Bless you on your travels my sista. Shavanti said: Saw this over at Housequake a little while ago.
***** Manuela's Foundation "In a Perfect World" sponsored a Free Arts Day last Sat. (July 15) for approx. 70 children living in a homeless shelter. I saw it on the evening news. These children had a free fun filed day day to do many arts and craft projects as they were paired up with volunteers from the community. This seems to be only ONE of MANY MANY things Manuela is working on. The many projects she is involved in is to better her Foundation, so in-turn it can help out more children in need. I believe you will be hearing more about he GREAT work she has been doing. As I read about all of it I'm truly amazed she can keep it all going...but, I do believe that comes from her passion and love of the children and the HUGE Heart she has. So nice to see something good happeing in this world! GREAT JOB MANUELA! God Bless ***** Ok, so if u go to the link and then click on to WWD (Women's Wear Daily) it says this.... An Altruistic Spin On Home Scents NEW YORK — With the fall launch of a home fragrance brand called Altru, Manuela Testolini Nelson, who is married to pop superstar Prince, will take her first steps into the beauty arena. This is a reputable magazine and I don't believe they would publish false information. The blurb as well as the Luxis article state she IS married to Prince. NO DIVORCE Why does everyone want to think different? Is it that much fun to speculate? I for one would like to say CONGRATULATIONS MANUELA ON A FINE JOB AND GOD BLESS YOU FOR WANTING TO MAKE A POSITIVE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD I wish you the very best with this and your Foundation!

Some just don't have the money or time, (to busy making money with that time) to actually publicize themself. Plus, charity starts in the home! Instead of spending money on traveling, publicizing yourself or your event, website cost, parties, spend it on the actual charity. UNLESS your motive or goals are for a different purpose.

You haven't even sampled the stuff yet and you're worrying about not being able to purchase it ... I can see it (mean, smell it) now.. All the sheep smelling the same Of course my interest in "the line" is piqued at this point because this is Prince's wife. It has been introduced to me that way -- on (drumroll) prince.org as it were. I don't generally go around cognizant of and riveted by developments in the home fragrance market. And who said anything about worrying about purchasing the stuff? Incidentally, I don't understand how a party as interested in "the line" as you seem to think I am could sample it prior to purchase if it's being sold by two exclusive retailers to which that party has no access. Seems a somewhat self-limiting marketing strategy. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Having a child IS a choice and she and other women can make that decision based on their own lives. Its possible that she may feel that in the current rumored state of her marriage that having a child with a man that's more interested in the next upcoming hot thang wouldn't be the best environment for a child. At the end of the day, its none of our business to why she doesn't have a child AND she has the right to give and assist to any cause she likes.

I think this is an excellent indevour and logically the best way. 2 nurture a young mind is 2 create a consious and feelin, breathin, person. Naturally.
The future is the next generation, and we must look at the formidable and majority of rich countries who dictate forgein policy. 2 learn from there capitalist mistakes, and imperialism. A natural young caring mind is better than an old one dat hasn't any ethical values. Sam 8) Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour
