Least favorite protege Of all of Prince's proteges, who is your least favorite and why?
My vote goes to... Ingrid Chavez Her whole quasi-spiritual hippy gobbledy gook makes my skin crawl. Just reading her songs titles makes me cringe: "Spiritual Storm", "Whispering Dandelions", etc. The only moment I like of hers is when her character gets run over in one of the only salvagable scenes of Graffiti Bridge. Like you kept harping, Ingrid, it was just around the corner...and it finally nailed your ass! Oh, and that pixie cut is just vile! End rant. Your turn! Feel free to join in the Prince Album Poll 2018! Let'a celebrate his legacy by counting down the most beloved Prince albums, as decided by you!

I like Ingrid's album,it's very edgy, melodic and experimental. Her poetry is very intriguing and the music is moody and hypnotic. It was a pleasant surprise
Her album is alot more interesting than the awful Carmen Elektra debut

Candy SNL Dulfer... oh no. Candy was amazing. I saw her play at the Roxy and she was amazing. She actually has a pretty good career outside of Prince, which tells me that she is above and beyond 95% of the people he has mentored who can't stand on their own. I don't know how you can say that she is lower on the food chain than: the game boyz Tony M. Carmen Mazerati and so many others The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. She seems kinda corny when Prince wants her to be funky. Like in live situations.

I'd have to say it's a tie between TC Ellis & Tony M. Nah, make it a 3-way tie when u add Damon Dickson. At least Kirk graduated to drums, and THAT's not saying much either!!!!!

Wasn't that just the best part of the movie! I love Ingrid's album though, I think it's very unique in the canon of PP releases, and stands the test of time too. Mazarati is another favourite of mine, I love the look, the sound, the lyrics, that album is my MOST favourite related release. It reminds me of Female Trouble, you know when they're injecting liquid eye-liner, that's what I think of Mazarati, like it's SO glam, nothing that fabulous could last. Least favourite: TC Ellis I suppose, but I can't even remember what that LP sounds like, so it would just be because he was a (c)rapper. Robin was pretty bad, but I think Prince ditched her because he found Carmen who did the same thing, but I think he thought he could sell her better. On that note, I agree with what wavesofbliss and StoneCrib said about the artists he should've let out on a longer leash to do their own thing a bit.

Like u may have heard me say b4, Jesse is THE guitarist that'll light a blue (not purple) flame under Prince's ass & BURN him. Prince always treated his best musicians like dogs*it. Don't believe me?? Andre, Jimmy, Terry, Jesse, Dez, Wendy & Lisa. That's just the START!!!!!
