bobby z. told me a story about being on an airplane with prince and the rest of the revolution. bobby and fink started talking about sgt. pepper. prince apparently never heard it, and had no idea what it was about. so they turned him on to it. this was in 1982 or so.. 15 years after it's release.. michael b. That's fascinating! How could he not have heard at least some of it?! Wow. But I have no doubt that listening to it "in 1982 or so" had a big influence on some of the songs on the album Around the World in a Day.
