my goodness, look at those hairdos. lol

it's great to see an old candid pic of mark! we'd love to see him resurface sometime, even if it's just to say hey to all the old revolution fans.

Very cool! I'm always pumping Mark on here. Loved Mazarati. In my opinion, Mark was DEFINATELY the best bassist P has ever played with, of course not counting Larry. But ya'll know what I mean.

Cool news! I, almost like Blackguitarist, think Brown Mark was P's best bassist, period. He may not be as "legendary" as Larry, but he worked best with Prince's music and style. The brotha played some of the sickest bass lines while still keeping in step with Prince on stage! Not an easy thing to do!!! You just gotta get him to come to the Org and hang with us and answer some questions biggrin , cuz there are a few of us who've been dying to get his take on some things for the longest time now.

Oh really! well cool and thank you for sharing that information. I want to know is he still doing some music?
I hope you stay around and tells us some things about Brownmark. I really like him and I think beside Andre that he happen to be Prince's best bassist. We be hearing a lot about Prince's other associates but Brownmark is very underrated here on the org.

Awesome! That's studio 2 at Sunset Sound. I'd know that room anywhere. Thank you, ShellAnswerMan. Any more from these sessions?

Brown Mark was far more talented than he was ever given credit for.

Great to see this photo; tell your buddy that there's at least one person in London who think's that he's an awesome musician. And I'm sure I'm not the only one!

you have to let him know there are tons of people on this site who'd go ballistic if he just popped in to say hello and let us in on a bit of what he's been up to over the past couple decades.

Hey Shell, question for ya, player; What was up with Micki Free joining Mazarati? Word on the street, around late 86, early 87, was that Micki was joing the band, with a push from P. Ever hear anything like that? And why did Mark drop the project and Ms. Cooper pick it up for that sorry ass second album?

I agree, that is Studio 2 from Sunset Sound. The picture was probably taken sometime in early May of 1985, when Prince was working in Studio 3, and Mazerati was recording in 2. That is the same studio that Kiss was recorded.

Cool pict. Thanx!
